They don't. I could have had a FF 197, but there's no point. The money I've saved will go on a very nice driving holiday later this year.
My only regret is that I didn't buy an R27. They were a bargain. I could have gone one for only a little more than I've paid for the Cup!!!
BTW Paul...
It's called personal preference. Aircon is an option, and as has been said many times before, the interior is the same as the rest of the Clio range, so it's hardly naff is it?
It's still massively better than that in the previous generation of Clios.
And above all, something most people seem...
A lot of the guys at work have those on their desks to use with their PS3 and 360s. That or a 20" Sony LCD.
I've got the 26" version in the bedroom at home.
You've said that about every car posted this week. I'm going to post a picture of my arse and I expect the same response "best arse on here".;)
Looks perfect mate.
haha, there's loads of pics of my Trophy with my now ex misses sat in the front looking miserable and wondering why the f**k we've stopped in the middle of no where just for me to take yet more pictures of my own car!
Mine are fine, almost covered 40k and no bubbling. Just the Speedline logos have pretty much gone now.
I've seen plenty of 172 Cup Turinis in a state though.
That's the car Paul. It was up for sale at Sutton Park Renault last year when they re opened their new facility.
Don't you just love the way the front wing looks a totally different silver to the rest of the car in the first picture. lol
Nice boot carpet!
Did it also have Lexus lights and a CS sticker? If so I saw that for sale at Sutton Park Renault last year. I got on my hands and knees to take a look!
You were turning right at the lights and I was heading straight on then left past the McDonalds. I do that way every morning. Usually a lot earlier thought, except days I don't go to the gym. It's usually only Wednesday I'm there at that time.
I can't remember mate, that was almost 5 years ago now!! I'd guess I launched around 3k and probably shifted just before the rev limiter as the green "you should really look at shifting" light came on.
I'd expect that's down the fact the mirrors aren't heated or elecrically adjusted so they don't run any cables to the mirrors at all.
I've gone for white, aircon and recaros and paid less than the price above. No black wheels for me.
We've had this one come up a few times. I'd put the Clio ahead. Handling wise the Clio would be well ahead.
I ran at Santa Pod when I had a standard 172 against a 2.0 V6 GP-R Mivec manual FTO with decat and induction kit. We ran pretty much identical times. The Clio is capable of a better...
£16,520 if you paid full price for that.
Car £14,995
Recaros £850
Aircon £525
White paint £150
That's a very good price. Same spec as the one I've got on order and I paid a similar amount.;)
I don't know about the 197 Brembos but there are 4 pot kits available for the 172/182s. They aren't cheap though.
Brian on here has them on his 172: http://www.rapidpants.com/images/gallery/motors/2006/DS2006/DS2005_003.jpg
A Trophy is always going to be special though.:o The last blast of the raw light hot hatch.
The Brembos on the 197 are amazing. They can take lap after lap of hard braking and still hit the same mark lap after lap. Amazing.
Henry, a Trophy doesn't stop anywhere near as well as a 197.
I'm assuming you've all driven both cars extensively to be able comment? Most of you are going on the paper figures and have never driven a 197/R27/Cup more than just a quick spin with the local Renault dealer.
This one: http://www.jessops.com/Store/s663/0/Monopods/Manfrotto/679-Monopod-(Chrome)/details.aspx?&comp=n
No head, just use it as it is and it's fine.
I used it for all of these moving shots: http://www.rapidpants.com/images/gallery/motors/2007/WSR/index2.html
I've used the monopod a lot more, especially as I'm usually tracking a car when I've got a large heavy lens on.
The tripod is more useful for taking pictures of naked women lying on my bed. Hence it's not had a lot of use!
