Re: Err?
Seen it at shows a few times. It was also on Autotrader (I think it is) with Mike Brewer. The lad who owned it wanted something quicker a little less boy racer.
I've got a white one also with recaros and aircon on order. I got a call the other day to say it's on it's way early, but they're going to hold it until the 1st of March for me so it's an on 08.
No chance of the Cup spoiler going on mine, it's far to OTT.
Here's a few more of Moonlight blue. These were taken while it was still in the hands of it's first owner, Sally from RUK. To be honest it's not a great colour and the finish was far from great. It looked a bit dull, almost black.
Most dealers have ordered blue. White is going to be fairly rare as who in their right mind is going to pay extra for a car the colour of a van. Only us lot in here and the Renaultsport forum are going to be ordering white. Blue will be the most common as it's a fantastic colour and free. I...
White is going to be available on the 197, it's just more expensive than on the Cup.
Plus that spec 197 is almost £2k more than I've paid for the Cup, give or take a tank of petrol!
I don't blame you. I've gone for the same spec only without the black wheels. Mine came in a few hundred less due to the wheels.
I'm looking forward to seeing some pics later.
Personally I only ever wash my cars by hand. I'm not anal about using dozens of buckets and all that, but I'd never...
Where's Fred?
He ran 110mm for a while. It dented his roof and cracked both his front wings and he couldn't go anywhere!! On track it out handled anything.
I think this was after he raised it a little due to getting on and off a field.
You could actually turn around the criticism of the Cup and say that the FF 197 is pointless when you can get exactly the same experience for considerably less money.
As for the weight saving, everyone likes to go on about how it's not enough etc etc. yet no one can actually come up with way of...
Renault Birmingham currently have a 197 Cup in the showroom. White with black wheels. £12,336.00 with 12 months tax, 2 year AA 3 year warranty as usual. If anyone fancies it ask for Bev and mention me.
Ouch. There's some real bargain 197s floating about already.
That's what Evo would have paid if they had bought it. I know what they're replacing it with. ;)
That 56 plate on here for £10k is a real bargain I reckon.
I only lost a grand on my 182. Ran it for a year, did 18.5k and...
I know mate. I'm not bothered what people think about what I drive. I got over that years ago. If it bothered me I'd have kept the 182 and not gone to the Trophy, or I'd have had a Megane R26. I know most people won't be overly impressed with the Cup.
