Camcoat did it for me mate, if you search them on google should come up, when i get my inlets matched i'm sending them off to be done as well!
Cost was about £180 for full race spec coating and cleaning as it was second hand manifold, well worth it, drastically lowered engine bay temps!
I haven't posted pics for an age, so thought i'd be a pic w***e and post loads, it's a track project so not made to look shiney, everything is for function!
Here she is in her current look...
Behind...
CAF...
Interior front...
Stripped rear...
Engine bay...
i was thinking more matt white, like just primer white, like you said dont really want gloss and the reflection from it must be a nightmare!
My mates got a Merc 190 cosworth with just primered white interior looking fecking mint!
pm sent!
Thats basically how mine looks at the mo minus the trim and speakers! Black will be too dark i think
I'm going for white interior and black cage i think with carbon inserts for the side trim, what ya reckon??
Hey people, looking for ideas on what to do in my boot, its basically a track car, so no rear seats and 6 point cage (to be fitted) and no rear panels, wanted pics of what people have done already, i.e. painted, re carpted, carbon fibre goodness etc
Basically i wanna see stripped boots and...
Who said i was taking the piss, i've had one fitted and got 240 at the wheels with no other mods and thats proved on the rollers
*runs and hides for opening can o worms haha*
It's meant to keep the heat in the actual manifold, which lowers engine bay temps and also helps to get the exhaust gas out quicker due to retained heat, so i've heard!!
Depends on the engine temp of the car i think? If the car's cold i'm sure the limit is set lower until full running temp is met, then you can ring out all 7250rpm
I payed to have it cleaned as well (second hand manifold) and had the race spec coating inside and out, i paid £180, when weighing up the pros and cons and prices of wrapping etc, its a much better way to go!
I've been quoted £40 plus vat per wheel for refurb which includes any colour, you don't need to take the tyres off but it would look better up close if you did, either that or give them to a refurb place
2 questions...
Is this a cat back system? I've got a 182 manifold with decat so will it fit?
Also, i've heard it's loud, but will it still meet track regs for noise?
Cheers
