Had my first chance to play with the Cooper S yesterday on the M3, nice looking car I have to say but the owner was in no mood to play, didnt tailgate or anything I just overtook and then stayed a little infront in its right lane to see if it would pick up, but i noticed it was an old dear...
Eek, first aid kit, triangle, fire extinguster!!!
Bloody hell.
Anyway, food and drink in france was real cheap, dont remember what I spent tho :( and as for fuel I didnt use much as my car spent most of its France holiday at a Renault Dealership in France :S
Grr I hate magic trees. used to always use the Vanilla (mmm) ones but as Mat Brown pointed out they melt plastic that they come in contact with - we looked and it had melted some of my dash !! What a bugger.
Luckliy for me, the dash was replaced due to rattles to no more marks :)
I was thinking of putting those wheels on my 172, this was way before the Cup came out with the speedlines on. Cant do it now (except that I cant afford it) as everyone will think I copied the cut. Oh well, search continues...
Looks real nice btw. I checked out some of the earlier picks and...
I think he mean that in the flesh there looks more room around the 1.2 than the picture shows. Ive seen both as I had a 1.2 hire car and after seeing the 172 engine in there the 1.2 looks tiny with loads of room.
I believe you can get an adapter for Sony kit that allows the steering remote and the full display to work. Will get me one when I get around to fitting my MD/MP3 stuff.
I think that might have been the place I went too. Down the bottom of his street somwhere with a fish tank in middle of room. My mate lives in "The Bargates" and is on the A44.
Next time Im up must arrange a quick Hello and food/drink ??
Yeah, all clean (inside and out!)
About time tho, it really needed it from the lanes up north.
Louise, would have said hello but only there on Thursday at a friends (lives in Leominster - pretty close?) Next time maybe, any good places to go out in the evening for food/drink around there...
When I take mine back (hopefully not before my 1st service) I will ask them to check the engine mounts as this has been a "common" problem on this board. Basically, if you accelerate and the wheels spin, many people have mentioned a "banging" noise, and apparently this is due to engine mounts...

Paddy, hope you like the plates, i got mine from there (2 sets, renault lost first set!) and as for trouble, so far so good. I have used the standard font so the only issue is the spacing. My plate is much easier to read that ones with italic fonts etc. No trouble as of yet. And ive had them...

Just to say that everything isnt rosey. I had my mark 2 in March and after 2,500 miles (and in france) it broke down - undrivable and left in France to be fixed. Next at 5,000 miles on the M40 it broke down again and towed back to Renault and fixed. Luckily the curse has been broken as im on...
