Was very difficult decision for me between the Flame Red and the Iceberg Silver (too popular) and in the end went for the silver. Was a last minute decision as I saw both 172s next to each other at Renault and decided it HAD to be silver.
Have seen the red and a few times had second thought...
Well, i raced a VR6 on the motorway - 80-!25 and I must say that there was not a lot in it - id have to say he was the quicker but you wouldnt have noticed it really as he couldnt pull away (maybe a tinsy tiny bit). I did have a full car to (boot full of books and back seats piled high)
Ok, as Im off to this euro trip (and last time my brand new 172 broke down) I thought id call Renault and extend my assistance to euro.
They quoted my the £34.65 to extend for 4 days.
Still undecided whether to bother - wouldnt have thought about it but last time it was a real pain in the...
Ive just booked my car in at Renault London West and they said I would be looking at around £160, my car has only done 10K but is almost 12month old.
Did you ask for good oil or did they ask you?
I looked through my docs but didnt notice anything about the windscreen cover :( But my insurance (elephant.co.uk) says this:
Q: How do I make a windscreen claim?
A: Windscreen cover is only available on Comprehensive cover. You can call our approved repairer (RAC Auto...
Rob, no idea what all the Es are about, all I know was it was an S reg and had an M3 badge - too dark to see anything else. As for playing, I,m not sure, it seemed that he pulled away both times when I went into 5th, this would be hard to achieve it "playing".
Maybe it was just a powerful BMW...
Really, mine is a UK 02 car, almost 1year old. Hmm, might chase that one up clioman. Did you get any docs with your car to say about this windscreen cover?
Had a play with an M3 on the way home last night, had a couple of goes (me behind and him infront) from about 80 to !25 ish. I was with it from 80-!15 (4th gear range) but as soon as I had to slip it into 5th the M3 just left me!
I know the clio is only a small car and only a 2ltr, but I was...
Last night coming home down the M40, a huge stone was thrown up and smacked my windscreen (luckily in the bottom passenger corner) but has made a inch square crack and the glass it chipped away.
Should I leave this or get it replaced? If so, do it on insurance or not?
Any advice from anyone...
I "raced" a VR6 on the motorway (M5 i think) a few weeks back, although there was nothing in it I would say he was a little quicker, this was from about 80-!25. Unfortunately I did have a completely full car, boot fully loaded with books, back seats covered in stuff and a pretty heavy tank (but...
LOL, females dont drive like that in fog - females cant drive in fog, its too difficult.
Sorry, not usually sexist but I do hate other people being blatently(sp?) sexist.
My recommendation - Dont buy the car!
Even if you win and get the prices you originally agreed, youll still feel bitter about the whole experience and not enjoy the car as much (and even possibly blame it) so go somewhere else, get another deal and get a great car!
Ive now got a contract so Ill be getting some money again :D
Im looking to buy a Sony MP3/CD chager (Xplod or summat) as I have a Sony MD headunit (please dont sl*g off Sony as MD was a must and it was bought a few years ago).
Can anyone recommend a good place too buy one of these from whether...

Yeah I do but wasnt at home when posted. The settin in the stereo is probably to set the sensitivity of the loudness control - ie, when driving on motorways the stereo automatically gets louder and when you slow down it drops again - good for stopping those mornings getting into the car and...
I know this probably doesnt help but Ive got a mk2 and Ive removed the Renault fitted cd changer from the car and re-connected it, all was fine. Didnt have to reset anything or remove the battery, was only disconnected for a few hours (to see how much room I had under there - not enough for my...
I had a cavalier once and when driving to work I hit the brakes (rears where drums not discs) but the front pad just shattered, big bang and loads of crap went under the car, after this if i used the brake it was metal on metal!!! Had to drive using the handbrake all the way, and pressing the...
