Yeah I believe that was due to some of the older topmounts failing but as these aren't an option on the X65's its kind of irrelevant.

Yeah its all via Apex in Bradford still Paul. I really like the setup on ours. Had a knock yesterday but turns out one of the top mounts needed nipping up.

Yeah the Jap kits are a fair bit cheaper but the new units are oil/nitrogen filled now Paul.

You really need it plugging in mate to find out whats gone off but as we're all guessing, I say inconsistency between pedal tracks 1 and 2 as that seems to be the one I always get with Cups ans reduced engine output.

They don't do topmounts for Renault applications although I've asked them to look into a roll centre kit for the X65

Yep it'll be CAN and proberbly the newer quad-lock connection. You'll proberbly find the wiring back there is constantly live. The 12v accessory points are timed by the UCH/UPC though so you could use this as the accessory live.

A few on RSMegane/MeganeSport have them to and have said good things about them. I also looked at the RSX but heard a few too many reports (not just on CS) of seal issues and Spax's customer service which scared me off. Even one reseller warned me off them for track use yet there are people who...

Either that or the piston is stuck and not retracting properly. Maybe best to just take it off the car and get it on a bench and in a vice.

It depends on what has gone wrong but normally its the handbrake mech which just needa cleaning, working and covering in penetrating oil to free then clean it up and lube before putting the dust covers back on.

I'm not sure what the actual rates are on mine but I have the rears unshimmed set at 15/30 and the fronts at 10/30 (which is really soft) amd it gives such a nice ride on our amazing Derbyshire roads but I will see how they fair on track towards the end of September.

Handbrake mechs have been seizing on these since way back when. Its mega common and easily fixed providing nothing is broken by cleaning up and re-greasing. Exactly the same calliper on the older cars to as my R19 was always doing it.

It depends what's wrong with it but I believe they can be rebuilt. You can deffo strip and service them and I believe Big Red sell a kit.

Any idea what spring rates he had fitted Gaz as they offer three generic types but can do specific custom rates to (so I've been told)?
