It depends on the age of your car and the version of the Bosch ABS system installed on your car originally (eg Bosch 5/5.5 non ESP vs Bosch 6/8 with ESP). If your car already has ABS though why change it? The 'sport' version, depending on age, will not give you anything extra that you don't...
Sean, read what he said above re: Deadlocking... He was talking about when you press the lock button twice to stop people opening the doors from the inside if they break a window ;)
The Megane III is an brilliant platform on the whole, its completely different to the previous Megane II and I honestly love mine to bits (bar the annoying digital dash... RS' 250 upgrade I think to get clocks back). Its nice to see Renault build quality back to which has been missing since the...
I think you misunderstood what I actually meant. I know there is no actual "Flasher" relay per say on a CPU controlled board... but hey, welcome to CS troll on
The hardest part about the job, I find, is keeping the steering wheel straight whilst you make adjustments. I guess having a friend holding the wheel steady would help though.
Then that's most likely going to be the issue. Trace the power wire back to the fuse box using a continuity test on a DMM. If the wire shows no continuity then you have a break which needs finding and fixing (or you could just run a new wire and not faff round but make sure it's fused). If the...
Took it for a run this morning and came back to find the radiator leaking (AGAIN) - This will have been the 3rd in 12 months now. Seriously Renault, WTF are you sealing the end tanks with(?Rhet)
Its not essential you go for Hunter setup just for tracking. The optical and laser setups are more than adequate providing the person using them isn't a single cell pond dweller.
I set mine with string and axle stands
I absolutely hate this on the Clio III, annoying as hell. The later Kangoo's do it to and I must have at least two calls a month from owners in similar positions as you.
Why they didn't make it an option you can turn on/off I'll never understand.
The battery feed from the battery to the alternator splits in two somewhere in the loom to power the starter. If this is faulty then it will cause the drain even when the alternator is off the car... this is why I suggested taking the starter live off to rule it out.
Take it to a garage that knows what they're doing.
If there's play in a road wheel then the road holding isn't going to be great. If a damper cannot hold the tyre to the road then this will reduce grip and again, road holding will be compromised.
Yeah as its cheap but it looks like it will need some wiring and a PAYG Simm to work. The Garmin doesn't need this and you know the tracking info and website features will be ace to.
I especially love how you can set the Garmin to alert you when main power is cut or when it physically moves out...
Its very strange that two alternators would both cause the same drain. I'd say its more likely to be, if it's 100% that circuit, more likely to be the starter motor/starter solenoid at fault.
You could try disconnecting this from the starter to see if the drain vanishes. Also, making the...
No issues from this end, not gonna start bitching as its sometimes the way things go but if i'd have known she was going about the garages I probably wouldn't have made such an effort looking in to it let alone divulge any information... you win some and others you lose.
I don't know Martin as she had it done elsewhere. I guess she assumed I was only going to replace the camshafts so went everywhere to get it done without telling me then just emailed me at 3.45 the day before saying it was fixed and wasn't coming in now.
I guess it's my own fault for saying...
