So yeah, got these two road tyres sitting in my garage.
Anyone know if they are worth anything to even consider selling on or shall I just keep them stacked away just in case they're ever needed?
Bridgestone Playz PZ-1
195/50R15 82V.
Plenty of tread left on them.
Any ideas?
I've got some for sale that I bought and never used. Brand new and still wrapped in the packaging. But wouldn't want to lose any money on them, i'll have to check the price I paid.
Thanks mate. Looks like these ones could be too short too ffs lol :(
Will have to measure properly tonight so I know where I'm at.
Thanks for the line. Mine do look similar to those pictured in there though.
That's saying they're 43.7mm?
Much longer than what I've got sitting at home :S
Think its about 310mm my one. The old one they gave me before that was 240mm.
So I got some Lemforder items from ECP. Found out they were the wrong size (think they gave me one for the wrong rack) so got them swapped over.
They look much better (longer) but upon briefly inspecting the ones on the car currently. They seem like they could be a cm or two too short.
So...
Looks good that. Need to do mine.
Would you do me a favour please? And measure the length of the track rod if you could. The entire thing, and just thread down please. My lemforder items still seem a little short.
Cheers
So i've taken the front ARB fixings off.
But thought I would be able to maneouver it around the gear linkage to remove it compltely. However I can't I don't think.
Has anyone done this and know if it's possible.
Otherwise i'll have to take the linkage off and don't really want to do that in...
Nice to hear your first thoughts. Keep us posted with how things feel and change as you get further into ownership mate.
And its good to hear about CS man love. Some good guys on here always happy to help others out.
Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
Looks f**kING awesome mate :) glad it's all done and finally at home with you.
Now for mapping. Hope if pulls some very good figures for you.
Proper Car.
@Kelv
Been looking into it and I agree, think this is what i'll be doing. My studs allow a 16mm spacer. So i'll probably go for 15mm front and 10mm rear. Or maybe 10mm all round.
You ran 15mm rear but what about the front chap?
Oh really ok cool. My tyres are 195 so gives a bit more scope...
Haha!
I'm hoping to not have any rubbing.
Maybe 15mm front and 10mm rear would be better.
But then is a 15mm spacer thick enough to safely support studs. 10mm rear would have to be the slide over type.
I want to order some spacers so I can fix my PMS studs into these rather than the hubs.
But I'm not sure what size to go for, what's safe, what might cause my tyres to rub on the arches etc.
I've got ASTs yet to be fitted and will be going with the maximum camber these allow (not camber bolts...
BHP per £ isn't that great no lol.
But you can pick up a second hand kit for around £1500. Get you up to mid 190s in BHP with the general supporting mods.
Not bad for a simple bolt on modification if that's what you want. Mapping is obviously needed as with anything like this.
Other option...
Depends what you want from the car and obviously engine.
It's a relatively easy bolt on bolt off modification and not too expensive if you get a 2nd hand kit.
I love mine. Really decent increase in power and the noise is incredible. Would definitely go for them again if I was building a Clio...
