See thats a nice, to the point explanation about the differences.
I can't actually relate to either. I use FK's (cue lots of gasps and scowls from the elitists....yawn).;)
This is what im getting at. I don't understand these sweeping statements declaring all else is shite compared to a certain brand.
If someone was sat on a pit wall timing two identical cars, one with KW's and one with AST's and they were worlds apart (obviously with identical drivers) then i'd...
So what differences do the KW's offer over the AST's in terms of basic car feel on a track?
Judging by the KW backers here, it makes me think that any cars with lesser equipment would be left for dead around a track. Is this the case then?
Brembo HC discs, standard pads and Goodridge hoses. Jobs a good un.....i run this setup and it didn't cause me any problems when i did Snetterton earlier in the year.
Oooof. Car is immense. They are quick anyway, but with a charger AND a blower....man alive.
Shame he drives like a doris....can't he hold the steering wheel like a normal person?! It has a short rack anyway....don't hold it like you are in control of a bus...
Im with Revels. The V6 is no way the best of the breed. Its unique and stunning to look at which is why its being voted for by those who don't have one.
172 Cup for me....biased perhaps...
Dave why didn't you give me a shout when you were out playing with the Sexo at the weekend? I'd have bundled up and come over to help you pull more bits off!
Is the exhaust sorted out yet?
Precisely. As Gally says, the work to do a dent in a bonnet is considerably less than to strip down a quarter panel and door, beat out the dent, prep, prime and paint the quarter and blend the door.
As Craigus says, if you have pride in your car, and a good eye for these things, you'll want it...
Good stuff! :D
I was rescued by the guys who own Panel-Wise after i was made redundant by the Lotus dealership i worked at.
No previous estimating experience so i've kinda just been chucked in the deep end and taught to swim....my dad used to be an engineer for Direct Line and a divisonal...
We don't use Audatex or Glassmatics (hence why we tend to clash with engineers over the cost of work!).
Feel your lack of enthusiasm mate...all these Honda suspension parts are doing my head in, although we do have an Aston Martin Virage of some sort being recovered here after its driver wiped...
Work for a bodyshop in Weybridge called Panel-Wise. Basically do estimates, run the office etc.
We are Aston Martin Cat A approved as well as Lotus and Honda so its pretty much nice stuff!
Although at the moment all i seem to see are Jazz's and Civic's!
FLOL! Is that including Labour, and Paint Materials or is that the price of someone using a club hammer and a tin of Dulux?
Thats a big dent but it'll beat out. You'll then be blending the door for a decent colour match and prob the sill capping, plus a quarter panel moulding. For a decent...
Im not actually worried. Im quite comfortable on a track.....its the other idiots you have to watch. Hence why i've never been that fussed about the Ring!
So out of who has paid so far, who has the most trackday experience and who reckons they know it all but have only done one?? I.e Tom, James and I.:rasp:;)
Just curious to know. It's all about the banter after all. We did Snetterton back in June and there were some proper numpties who thought...
Clare isn't up for his now so i've put Hamish in her place on the list.
