I think you underestimate the Stone......Llandow was way waaay wetter than anything we had at Snett and Bedford and i'd say we were easily the quickest bunch out there.
Although he did get a little overconfident in his ability to catch LO OS.....;)
To be fair Tom, Dave's one is a cracker...and he ain't half bad behind the wheel either.
Good enough to make you worry.....;)
Him. You. Me. On a wet track. Needs to be done.:race:
Like Dave, i was quite suprised with the pace you had! Definitely has some poke. You didn't get alot smaller in the rear view mirror once i was past you thats for sure.
Only thing i'd knock would be those wheels....;)
No all you have to worry about is the trio of rather rapid Clio's swarming over YOU.
James' plus a proper map, wheels and tyres = rapid
Nick's plus a gearbox, plus strippage = rapid
Mine plus more light strippage, plus decat, plus A048's and some more camber = :race:;)
Welcome to the madhouse Rich!
A diet and some decent rubber and you'll be well away for the next one.
Even mine is losing some more weight.....and hopefully the weather will allow my super sticky Yoko's an outing.:approve:....and maybe a change of pads and discs as well...
Cheers mate! LOL @ ballast!
Shes not a great fan of the cold...or wet, so she just made herself at home.
Great thing is, she doesn't moan!
I did enjoy my 'light' laps though....cue my slap.
Thanks to Chris for organising yesterday. For a humble little race track it made for cracking fun. Much more technical than you'd first think.
Had an awesome day!
I actually enjoyed the laps in the really heavy rain more compared to those on the drying track.....bizzare!
My other half used to live in Portslade and she still visits her mum quite regulary. She also commutes to work in Worthing.
She has a silver 182.
I know of a RB 197 that is around that way as well.
You girl, will have fun.
I was going to put on my A048's but it'll be Bambi on ice-esque.
Im bringing my Blue Point set, tie wraps, black tape, spanners, pliers, snips, tyre pressure gauge, foot pump, 182 jack....and a few other bits and bobs.
Oh and an umbrella.:(
You'll probably have a riot mate. Its all the stiffly sprung, track tyred people who will be worried.
Even if its wet its a giggle though.....catchy catchy slidey monkey.;)
The shocks can weep but not actually have a shed load of fluid pouring out of them so it might not be that obvious.
You need to look under that rubber sleeve to see the top cap of the shock.
