I can honestly say that the mk3 I bought my missus is a world ahead of my 172 in terms of comfort (there's a helluva lot more room than in my 172!) and build.
Performance, handling and steering feel however..... Make me feel sick.... they're that bad lol.
But my missus likes it because...
Looks good to me - 170Nm available from 2500rpm - That's a good percentage of your peak torque availble from low down in the rev range, which is always nice!
Don't get a YS system then. And definitely not a decatted one. lol.
Trouble is the only real way of telling is to go out in a car with one on.
One mans quiet is another mans loud if you see what I mean.
Oh no doubt. Weight is the enemy of everything. Even stock, it's still over 130kg's lighter than a stock 172 FF, which is a helluva lot. And it's only about 19bhp down (172 PS = 169 bhp or there about iirc)
Personally I value my own senses and the results on my private test track as a far better indication of gains.
For example a car on a rolling road with an open filter will most likely show a gain. On the road, bonnet down sucking in hot air and it loses you power.
I value a road test over...
Nothing to fear as long as it's done properly. Mounted a friends a few months back. The wall will fall down before the TV does! lol.
I'm selling a mount but it's too big for your TV.
The whole thing is a mystery.
GDi fitted my decat and I asked them about the lambda sensors - They said it doesn't matter about the second lambda and fitted it anyway.
2000 miles later and still no light for me!!
Mines never liked third... although I blame it partially on the seating position. To get my arms and legs comfortable I have to put my seat all the way back. This makes me have to reach ever so slightly to get it in thrid and I don't always reach far enough when trying to quick gear changes.:o
Mr Ambiguous lol.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. There are a few genuinely quick Clio Williams. The rest are as you'd expect, around about 172 pace or slower. The exception is not the rule!!!!!!
I'm not really sure what my car sounds like. I only hear it from inside lol. Although it sounds f**king ace imho, it might sound like an old nova to others. Need someone in the know to have a listen. lol.
Mine made a difference to my 172. Definitely. Big difference in fact. More eager to rev, pulls harder low down. No placebo - definite gain.
Let us not mix the water here though. Ignore these 182 owners - The 182 was fitted with a more free flowing cat from the factory so it stands to reason...
