Has anyone had custom springs done/fitted to their 172? What would be an ideal spring poundage for trackdays. Be interesting to know what spring rates are on different coilover setups from the likes of Bilstein, AST, H&R etc

I loved my Koni adjustable dampers on the Clio, Koni dampers and Koni springs i didnt notice any difference in ride height. Apex springs made a big difference in ride height compared to Koni springs visually

No worries, was happy to give you 1st dibs but will open them out. 16" OZs do look good but for tackdays the 15" will be just right

So with the FK coilover kit you can adjust both ride height and the damper stiffness too? Koni do make a coilover kit but for every model of Clio bar the Sport

IMO Renault got it just right with the OZ F1 wheels on the phase 1 (coming from someone with a phase 1 Clio with 2118s) :S

Does the ABS system on the phase 1 Clio 172 run by means of a seperate ECU or does it run off the main ECU? Or how does it actually work? I only ask as the next project is completely bare so i can only assume for now that it's not rigged up. I've been on the search threads and also seen people...

The colour is Ford Sea Grey metallic, IIRC it's about 3-400ml a wheel so 1 large can each wheel and a small can

I did, just enough to give them the colour, primer first then a blow over in grey, nothing spectacular

Just aerosol cans bought from Halfords, i chose the colour that looked ok on the lid top and went from there. Like i said they're not perfect but would probably look ok when on the car, i've done a few sets of wheels over the years

Look much better in the pics than in real life, been refurbing this set of 4 OZ F1 wheels i picked up from breakers yards in the store room at home. Painted in Ford metallic grey and lacquered, not sure whether to fit them yet.
