ABS questions

Does the ABS system on the phase 1 Clio 172 run by means of a seperate ECU or does it run off the main ECU? Or how does it actually work? I only ask as the next project is completely bare so i can only assume for now that it's not rigged up.

I've been on the search threads and also seen people removing the ABS system, could it be an option for me to run a conventional brake setup and to fit an adjustable brake bias valve.

This next project is track only, the bare minimum but want to get it right in all areas
