Today, I went to detail a stunning Glacier White RenaultSport Megane R26, with black wheels.
The intention was to knock back some swirling with Lime Prime via Rotary, then top with Supernatural. However... the paint was ROCK HARD. I made a schoolboy error also and didn't take anything more...
I'm busy moving them all over to Flickr, but it's taking ages. I guess I could just upgrade to Pro... lol
Pics are better on Flickr anyway.
Should be doing the SteBurns-mobile soon too - that should look awesome when it's corrected.
Russ.
Yep, 3.02 on the white pad will deal with pretty much anything.
Really bad RDS may need wet sanding though, but I wouldn't advise trying to correct those if you're new to machine polishing anyway...
It's the easiest way to decent results via a DA machine. Anything else takes too long to break down.
Trust me, I've been machine polishing for a fair few years

They are definitely worth investing in. Then, when you've done your car, you can turn pro a day later and start charging people to do theirs ;)
Well I'm technically a Dodo Authorised Detailer now, so I have to have them all my disposal... even more of a collection! lol.
The handling is transformed. It was epic anyway, but now it's.. erm... majestic! It's amazing how much grip it has and how much speed you can carry into a corner...
KW V1's are about £750... which may be an option too
The drop is about 20mm on mine, as the Cup suspension is lower anyway. Handling is even better too!
Over the weekend, as part of a birthday present for me, I had my car lowered on H&R springs, something which I've been meaning to do for a while.
After having detailed 6 cars in the last week, mine was looking rather sorry for itself, so I have it a quick clean with Dodo BTBM, then topped it...
Must have been remapped - they will do 195BHP easily with a remap, and 300lbft torque.
The handling isn't great though.
Oh and it has 6 pot Alco brakes IIRC
Standard you'd be all over him
