Right, I am going to book my car in to have the tracking done. When would you recommend I take it ? Somewhere like Kwik Fit ? How much do they usually charge ?
It does look like a mini Scenic ! Why do they do this ! I cant even see the RenaultSport version being any good either ! OH DEAR ! The 172 may stay till the NEXT version after this !
N8, I think if you did a search for tyres there would be loads of threads on this. A lot of people like the F1s IIRC with tyres from Toyo, Uniroyal and Michelin also getting good comments.
I suspect this is a knock on effect from fitting my Eibach Pro springs last week. The steering wheel is off centre when going in a straight line and also when cornering it seems to pull to one side. Is this just a simple case of the tracking needing to be done ?
Where is the best place to...
Went to give a few mates a lift down the pub the other day. They got in the back and as they did the back springs started to creak. I had my Eibach Pro springs fitted last week, could it just be because they are new ? This is the first time someone has been in the back since they were fitted...
clio__chris, I did think my car looked good on the screen I must admit ! LOL ! Unfortunately, I wasnt wearing my helmet at the time ! DOH !
He was a nice guy to be fair, I apologised loads and he seemed to accept my apology even after I told him he didnt indicate when changing lanes ! LOL...
Just been to Ikea in Cardiff and I was driving back on the M4 to Swansea. Was following a Golf and noticed a silver Merc weaving over the road behind me, changing lanes without indicating and so I speeded up to get past the Golf and this Merc. No sooner had I pulled out........ BLUE LIGHTS...
I was wondering if you are asking for problems if you buy a 16v with over 100k miles on the clock ? How many miles are these engines good for until things go bang ? Been thinking about buying a cheap valver as a project and trackday car and I am sure that most of the cars in my price range...
I thought I recognised it as stanbo172s old 172 ! Very nice and good to see the boards have done their job and found someone a sale.
Hope you enjoy it !
I wouldnt bother, I love the creature comforts in my 172 and the difference is not that much anyway. You can make the 172 to be better than a Cup with a few mods anyway and you can keep all the luxuries too. If you didnt already have a 172 then it would be a different story but I dont think it...
Because the guy was standing in the window of his house looking at the dodgy person driving past his car more than once ! LOL !
I have put flyers on other 172s I have seen but none have come on here.
Just drove out of my street and at the bottom of the road I saw what I thought was an Silver 04 172. Went for a closer look and saw the Turinis and the Cup badges, it is the first silver Cup I have seen, it is all very confusing ! LOL !
The Turinis look great on the silver car too ! Very...
I paid £11999 for my first 172 in July 2002. That was a brand new import which I was chuffed with at the time, that was one of the best prices around for an unregistered 172.
£9250 is still a good price Gav. By the way, all 172s come with a spare alloy in the boot ! It is a very nice touch I have to say !
:D
I think _KDF has probably had the best deal so far....... or maybe Andy_66 ? Saying that, steveV6 has probably bought one of the cheapeast V6s around and...
Agree with edde, you need to have a life away from the Clio too ! That is very important, I have made the mistake in the past of getting a car I couldnt really afford and it is not nice having no money. If it would stop you going out with your mates then I would have a serious think about. If...
Servicing is more expensive I would guess, my first service is £160. Tyres are more expensive, you are going to use more petrol, tax is more expensive. Any non-warranty engine work is expensive as it could be an engine out job. Just generally everything will be more expensive than owning a...
I dont know if they will moan but you will not get anymore for the car so you will lose money on the mods, you may even get a little less as it may be harder to sell on. That is something you will need to speak to the Renault salesman about. If they give you a quote, try and go to another...
