Coco, I am going to the Curborough trackday in a few weeks so I am sure that someone will have a K-Tec there along with all the other makes so I can check them all out. If that fails then a Bristol meet could definitely be on the cards anyway ! Be good to meet up !
The problem I have is that...
I would never buy a brand new UK again, no way ! Unless it was ridiculously cheap which I cannot see happening unless you know a member of staff.
I was still offered around £8000 as a rough idea for my 02 172, not too bad as I paid £8800 for it. I am sure I could get it higher if I pushed...
I am going to get my Renault dealer to sort out the tracking at the same time as my service on Monday, do you see any problems with this or would be better to get it done before the service at a tyre place ?
Dai
They are just book values, read the Autocar 182 test thread on the Clio Discussion board.

Exactly, I went to enquire about the 182 and asked about a part-ex on my 172 which is an import and they were willing to take it but they gave me a stupid figure ! Might ask for a quote at a different dealer on Monday when I have my service just to see what they say.
Coco, you make a very good point. Ideally I would like the hidden exhaust from K-Tec but is it too loud for everyday use ? I dont want an exahust so loud that I cannot hear the radio ? I have read somewhere that K-Tec can make it quieter ?
I dont want an exhaust that is too loud for comfortable motorway driving and I have been told the K-Tec is too loud ? Was told to look at a Magnex instead ?
The other thing that I dont like is that the exhaust exits VERY low on the car under the rear valance and I have been tempted to cut...
Yeah I would say it was a few days to drop and then a week or so for them to bed in. Mine are settling very nicely and they were fitted around a week and a half ago now. They were only a 10m drop Eibach Pro Kit though so the drop was less noticeable.
I dont know if there is anything else to be said mate. I would not be happy waiting but what more can you do ! Just hope it all gets sorted very soon. Just keep on top of it and I am sure there will be a satisfactory outcome.
Yeah, chuck me down for one Mitsi ! I will have to send a cheque or I can pay you via PayPal if you have an account.
Just one quick question, how do these affect warranty and insurance ? It at all ?
Talking about private plates, I fancy a plate for £250. It is :
R50 *** (with *** being my initials)
R50 could be made to look like RSC (RenaultSport Clio) with just one carefully placed screw cover.
What do you think ? Good or bad ?
Good luck Iain, this needs to get sorted today I think ! There really is no argument ! They are 100% in the wrong, simple as that !
Let us know how it goes !
It is only covered in the first year but many people on here have had the same problem and had it changed under warranty in the second and third years havent they ?
Smokey, it is covered by warranty yes. I am not sure you can ask them to investigate a fault that is not there YET ! You could ask then to check to see if anything is being worked loose and looks like it could cause a problem. Whether they will do that is another thing.
This happened on my old 97 Clio 1.4 Sport and I was told it was the heatshield rubbing against the exhaust ! Unbelievably it still happens on my 02 172 which is going in to get this fixed on Monday under warranty.
I have tried zooming in on this pic :

The quality is just not good enough to tell if they are Xenons or not. Tried zooming in and comparing it with similar photos of my 172 and you just cannot tell.
It shouldnt matter...
The bulb is just completely different, definitely not right !
Xenons :
