They are not slow but there is just something that I dont like about them ! When I test drove a GTi I was not impressed at all so that put me off for good I think.
I use normal unleaded in my 172 ! Maybe I am a tight git but the nearest Shell garage is well out of the way !
If I decide to fill up on Optimax now does it matter if the Unleaded and Optimax mix ?
Get a laptop and take the PC to the car ? Probably not the cheapest option ! LOL !
What is the connection that is needed to update it ? Is it an RJ45, Serial, etc. ?
Torx screwdriver !?!? Pah ! Funny shaped hexaganol screwdriver is obviously the correct technical term ! Hope that answers your question Mr _KermitDaFrog !
Dont mean to sound sarcastic but you need a funny shaped hexaganol screwdriver. Seriously, you should be able to get one from Halfords or something I would think. I had one in a screwdriver set I was given.
I had the same problem with my old 97 Clio S, drove me mad but I sold it before I could fix it.
You could try taking it off and putting some sponge pads on the fixings to see if that helps.

The car was on your drive ?!??!!??!!?!??!
F**k me ! That is shocking ! This sort of thing makes me so angry !
Going to have to get me some of these, looks much cleaner from the pics above.
xTreme, how long did they take to come ?
I take it you havent fitted them yet ? Let us know how you get on.
LOL again @ NFL ! Maybe the little furballs are related !
My car seems to have very minor rattles so I am happy with it ! It is my 2nd 172 and I would not hesitate in having another one if I had the choice again.
I do have the 4k rattle but it is going to Renault to have this sorted next...
If the car was registered on 1st September then I assume your service is due 2 years after this date but if you hit 12000 miles before then you must get it serviced. If you see you are going to hit that figure soon then book it in, that is what I did anyway and they had no problems with it...
The service interval is 12000 miles or 2 years, whatever comes first. You need to stick to these limits to maintain your warranty.
My car has just turned 2 years old but it only had its first service on Monday as it has not done 12000 miles yet.
LOL @ NFL !
I have that same problem, she just doesnt seem to understand me ! One of our cats thought it would be nice to leave lots of nice muddy footprints over the length of the car last night ! There I was shouting at the little b**tard and the missus was just standing there laughing ...
Last night, I went out for a drive down some great open country roads and the car just made me smile from ear to ear. It was the first time I have been able to open it up on some roads with good corners since I have had the Eibachs fitted and the car feels so great now. It was pitch black with...
Depends on the price, if the import is much cheaper then go for the import. The resale value is relative to the price you paid so it shouldnt make much difference. I would have no problem buying import again and I have had 2 import 172s.
TVR Tuscan is awesome but we are talking about a Ferrari ! Going to be hard to beat the black horse IMHO.
You can get a 355 for around £40k, check on Auto Trader and the Sunday Times motor section.
Gareth Keenan likes TR4s, they rule the most !
Buy a crap one for £1000, spend £2000 doing it up and sell it for £1500.......... theres profit there !
:p
No no ! A laugh would be something funny ! They are aiming to penetrate you mate ! I doubt they would have the courtesy to lube you up first either ! OUCH !
