If you need them for work related then yeah that's a shame but if it's personal use then I find Nvu decent for making websites and The Gimp for graphical stuff.
the difference with Ubuntu is the amazing comunity: http://www.ubuntuforums.org
Take a look around and you'll see what I mean.
If you haven't tried Ubuntu - Dapper Drake then it's worth a go :) You never know... it might be the one for you.
I think it depends on a few things..
1. What you're used to
2. Personal preference
3. Personal standards
If you came from an XP install that crashed regulary and you had to reinstall every few months just to keep it running then you'd probably reach for the tissues and lubricant after...
Totally disagree! When did you try Ubuntu last?
I use Dapper for everything, music, gaming, work, web, mail... everything.
I did a fresh install last week.
15 mins to install the OS
1 minute to install latest nvidia drivers
Sound drivers already installed, printer already installed...

Pay per view is done via the dish, not the phone line.
As far as I know you only plug the box into the phone line for marketing reasons.
As far as the sky contract goes you get the box free by agreeing to keep it...
re the comments about overclockers... never used them but they have a shop in stoke (staffordshire) so you can walk in and get what you want if you live local.

Think you misunderstood what i was saying... If the master cylinder is buggered there will be no pressure. Pumping I believe will help. Like i say i may be wrong though.
ABS only kicks in if the wheels lock up.
USB modems are satan's making. Where possible try and get an ethernet based one.
I use a Linksys ADSL2MUE which is very good.
If it's not your modem / usb connection playing up then replace your filters and if still no joy, get on the phone to BT.
silly and obvious but it's not flooded is it?
I flooded my Old Astra GSi just moving it up and down the drive out of the way of my mrs's car. Had to get the AA out, took a good 10 mins with their heavy duty battery to get it going!
Re: f**ked off with my iMac already...

some geek is going to have their day made!
Incidently... how do you get a pic of you giving a bj? timer or a 3rd person?
