Arh but there is a sensor there, otherwise how would the c/c know that you've put your foot down?? The limiter is at the bottom on the acc pedal movement.
To be honest, I don't know if there is on a clio.
But there is one on a Range Rover. Just a thought!!
Something to do with if you want to over take whilst on cruise cnt, drop the pedal, over take, then return to your set speed.

Have you tried lookin at the accelerator petal?? They have a switch thingy/sensor on as well?? this might be causing you some problems.:S
Basically my renault garage can't find the part number needed for my ECU bracket thats snapped on my car. They're flappin and I want my car back fixed.
Does any know the part number??

If you have a red led next to the gear stick, you've got an alarm fitted. If it doesn't then it could be an imported model.
Also you should have sensors on the roof pillars next to the windscreen. there also should be switches on the bonnet just right of the latch (push button style).

Bought my Clio from a dealership. 1 year old (54 plate), then 2 days later I noticed one rear shock was fecked. They replaced it under warrenty, both sides in fact because I moaned like a woman (very butch woman, lol).
Apparently they are quite common to failing. Bloody french cars...:S
