Ben painted his 172 just satin black. Looks alright but you need to do a proper job with it to make it look good IMO.
Jord (F0xy) did it on his 1.2 iirc aswell, can't think of any others that have done the sorta thing without spraying the entire interior tbh. Will go find pics.
If that car could talk it would probably tell you to stop scratching it's ass and fluffing it up and take it for a big long dirty walk while it's raining in a muddy field :)
Love that car, if it was mine though it'd be going up at the back and being spaced more. I hated it when my 172 wheels sat right inside the arch, hella flush ftw.
I did one (albeit I don't think the laquer hardened enought before it got marked), basically just scrubed it so it looked to be like stainless steel, then primed over that.
+1 on how it's bad laying it on.
Hard pressure and a rotary motion will probably be far worse.
Need one of those I4D towels, I've not had a towel in ages :(
How does everyone store there's? Drying the towel etc once used?
From what it seems I've had the same deal with the wheels, bought a set of turini's with 2 tires with 3/4mm on them, 2 pretty much nackered.
All 4 were done with, one tire had a slip lip over the limit but I wasn't putting that on my car. Getting a full new set of T1R's was a bite in the man...
I only take it for a hard drive every now and then, rarely do I get into the position of braking hard.
Not really noticed about when the colouring is, will change the discs in the near future I reckon.
Cheers.
