Valvers have a central set of guages that display oil level, oil temp and oil pressure.
Directly in front of the driver is speedo to the left, rev counter to the right.
Middle bottom right is water temp and left is petrol guage.
top centre is a digital temp reading
ph1 - orange
ph2 - white
As far as i know the rev counter in an RT goes to 7k and in the valver its 8k
cant comment on any of the other markings. Would imagine the speedo top end would be different.
carpet still out
Found a small pool of sour milk under the back seat.
totally drenched the inside of the car with detox and febreeze last night.
it seems to have made a difference but that might change when its been in the sun for a while.
ill do the same again after work. hope its not...
got my first clio bought for me by my dad after passing my test, got it due to price and low insurance - it was a 1.2
got my second clio because i was flicking through autotrader and the valver caught my eye, went to see it and it was love at first sight.
sorry yeah i tried the fabreeze stuff just forgot to mention it
looks like ill have to get the fairy liquid out and scrub the boot. Think the car has absorbed the smell though. Valet might be the only wayt o get rid of it :(
think this should be in interior as it happened inside the car but feel free to move it.
had a milk container split in the boot. Luckily i keep old floor mats in there in case of spillages so most of the milk was absorbed by those. Thrown those away, taken the carpet out to be washed but the...
dont think anywhere but the dealer can do it.
not sure on cost but spare keys are never cheap. My dad was quoted £70 from a vauxhall dealer for a spare key to his Omega.
Ive only got one key with mine, its never bothered me I just make sure that if my keys are in the ignition and im out of...
fair enough. Just because its not brand spanking new doesnt mean you need worry about it starting. If you look after a car you wont have many problems.
if you follow that train of thought youd question whether to have ABS turned on or off if there was an option.
In case of an accident anything that can help you stay on the road without hitting anything else is a bonus surely?
most mk1s seem to.
water either gets in through the aerial, sun roof surround or sunroof rubbers.
With the aerial and surround, silicone works.
If its the rubbers just give them a good clean and the glass a good clean.
It also helps to close the sunroof when it rains.

The British Standard sets out the physical characteristics on the number plate...
forgive me if im wrong but.... if the plates were illegal wouldnt they fail an MOT or is that not tested?
Ive got honeycomb on my astra plates and it went through the MOT without then saying a word.
bummer.
had a close call like that few months ago, came round a bend doing 40ish and totally lost it. One minute im going the right way the next im looking at the curb on the right of the road and the car is almost sideways then im facing the other curb and then finially i realise whats going...
just a thought but have you considered buying a cheap run around for your first few months/year of driving after you pass. Youll still be learning to drive even after you pass your test and accidents can and will happen.
It would be far less gutting to bump a cheap car than a new/newish clio...
similar problem with my Astra.
Had the head skimmed then 2 days later oil light came on... no oil pressure - oil not getting to the top pf the engine. Currently in the garage. From what the guy was telling me if its the oil pump then its cheap (few hundred), if theres a problem with the sump...
Bought a 1.2 mk1 to begin with because Id just past test and insurance was cheap. Test drove a nova 1.2 lux, pug 1.2 106 and clio 1.9 diesal before hand.
Part exd the 1.2 for a valver 2 years later as I wanted something quicker, loved how it looked and had gotten used to the size.
Bought a...
