Im heading up north after work tonight, for a weekend back home. Keep your eyes peeled for me on the M62,M61,M60,M6,M74,Abington Roads after 7pm lol!!
If any fellow cliosporters see me kicking about Bathgate / Whitburn / Livingston, give me a flash. Cheers all, Rob...

ahhhhhhhhh stranger!!! long time no see! what springs u running buddy? id say mine is a pretty low 60mm, as the springs are well settled. I cud do with a look at yours, as u have 17s also :)............heavier engine to weight the front down more too tho hehe, got some pics on here Rob???
i cant fault the apex springs mate, comfy, yet stiffen up when u throw it about, be interesting to see how they are with the apex shocks too :) yes it will look higher............probably like a sports hatch rather than a lowwwww clio
its really hard to explain, its all about what you feel through the wheel if you ask me, yea, lowered more on wider tyres will give u more grip, and more speed, but then you will be going faster, have less time to react if anything happens, and more likely to spin, its all down to driver talent...
drive in a way that suits my driving abilities, i aint no racing driver, id rather have a bit of roll / feedback before the grip goes and the hedge / wall gets nearer.........i used to play with my old one all the time getting the back end out, it gave the driver confidence, this one gives me...
well, 60mm, 17s, crap tyres (in the rain anyway), brembo discs and green stuff pads, and one of my favourite back roads (the bumpy bit has just been re-surfaced too)............i didnt know what to expect, especially compared to my better suited old clio, 40mm drop on 15s with good tyres...
looking cool matey!! ive ordered the apex 40mm full Kit, but i think i may be trying the shocks with the existing 60mm pi springs i have...........i know the apex springs make the mose sense all round tho, but we shall see............
p.s. I have a black 1.2 16v now, went 2nd hand instead of...
There is Autec in Dewsbury, right across from my work, they have a lot in there to look at, and stock some big brand names, might be worth a nosey, mate
yea but i think the GRIP level will be dependant on the tyre you are contacting the road with.......trev.........16s with standard suspension would look high.......and the -40mm apex springs are pretty flexible between comfort and handling
i had a good drive in the new car last night, and was on some familiar roads i used to have the silver 1.2 on........i was coming off of a roundabout, and put the foot down on the exit, now, my old car had the standard 15s with 195/50 toyo proxes, my new one has 205/40 on 17s, being...
Guys, as some of you may know, my Toad alarm cat 2:1 overlay thing really caused some trouble to my motor, its all running now, i arm it and it locks with the accompanying 1 beep..........but when i disarm it beeps twice, unlocks then re-locks the doors, so i then have to unlock them with my key...

Well Reno FINALLY looked at it today...........it needs a new wiring loom, which i knew about (the bit at the back of the engine had worn through the insulation, but we taped it up temporary), and it needs a new computer! :o whatever went wrong with it, its gone big time! Guy who rung me sounded...
