Is a Ph1 head a direct replacement for a 182 head? Or is there lots of work to do?
Worth the effort of sourcing and changing over whilst I'm at it?
Or just spend a bit extra and aim to get some headwork done on mine?
I'll be sticking with the 438/421s so won't be changing any springs unless I really have to.
Think the chap from Russia with the RS2 had some CatCam springs fail in his engine iirc :S
Cool, If it's good enough for you James it's more than good enough for me lol!!!
Thanks chaps.
Still on the hunt for the best place for valves though..
OK cool thanks, not worth changing whilst I'm there then? Any idea on cost if so?
@BIGASH do you have standard springs or is that a silly question lol?
I've got the cams already. @Michael Woodford MST will be setting them up to 421 timing.
Same as you I believe.
I didn't think he was stocking them any more as the margins were too minimal... @Fred@BTM
Where's the cheapest place to source these? Roland Alsop?
Also is there any variation in coating?
Do I need upgraded the valve springs too @Chip-mk1 lol
Cheers.
Having the track tyres on the front and normal tyres on the back will give you a lot less grip at the back. Potentially giving you a few over steer moments.
I wouldn't recommend it but if you are careful and not going balls out then I'm sure you'll survive.
If you do want to do that then make...
Hehe ;-)
The car certainly does go well.
Shame none of us were properly filming because we would have caught each other having some serious power slides on many occasions!!!
Nice pics too ;)
Unlikely, but two duff throttle bodies maybe?
Sure someone will be along with some facts.
Are RS Tuner fault reading reliable? Wonder how they would compare to the faults shown up on CLIP.
