It depends I suppose.
Chris n nic has always found it helped, as did y0z when he had one years ago.
On track on Tuesday at Oulton Park it seemed to help Chris as he was able to hold onto third in a couple of places where I was into 4th for a very short period of time.
You're right though...
One of the more techical bods will have to answer that properly mate.
At various RR days the difference between standard engines has been seen to be massive. Some produce a lot less than they should, a few put out more. It appears that some of this is down to how good the inlet manifold (I...
It's there in 4th and 5th, it's just not so noticable. The performance of Renaultsport engines varies massively.
My old 172 and 182 never felt anywhere near as lively as my Trophy does.
Oddly enough those are the exect same words I said to 7Mat as I was taking the pictures. He was in total agreement also.
Shame I had to miss Donny South this year, that's usually the best show by far for "models".
LMAO, nice one Chris.
The first lot are a bit too bright Dave, the sun was reflecting off the cars, and I hadn't really got the camera set right. I'm sure I could improve them in PS or Lightroom, but I can't be bothered. lol
I snapped a few in the morning, just off the pit wall as I couldn't be arsed to go any further.
Some of the first ones are a bit poor, but once I'd swapped to a more suitable lens they improved.
Here they are: Click me
All that generation of Renaultsport suffer break fade. Mine did a few times yesterday. The brakes on the R27 are amazing though and stand lap after lap of punishment. You'll be okay at the ring, you'll not be able to drive with the same level of commitment as on a track you can learn easily...
Excellent pics Dave. A few of me in there.
Mikey, there's only Cadwell and Spa left this year, although last year they did sneek an extra one in at Brands. Otherwise it'll be next year.
You're not wrong mate. But I've enjoyed doing them and by the looks of things I'll continue to do so into the new year when I'll just trade it in most likely.
Other than a problems with the temperature sensor on the engine when it was new it's been spot on. Never let me down, starts first...
Renault kept 001.
002 - 006 were press cars and were sold on to the public. 004 obviously being bought by Harry Metcalfe of Evo Magazine.
Hell yeah they were all thrashed. lol
I gave 006 a thrash when it was just a few hundred miles on the clock.
I paid full price back in March. Really impressed with it. The Top Gear polar episode looked amazing in HD.
Mine has locked up a couple of times recently when it's gone a few days without being use. Other than that it's fantastic.
Always welcome to pop over and have a look at mine too Jay...
There is no concrete spec for the Cup yet.
Oddly enough I was talking about this yesterday with a man in the know.
Dealers are never the first to find out anyway. Even the press find out before the dealers. lol
