brand spanking new??
mine did it after about 5 miles on the clock driving in traffic.....
waited for engine to hot/fan kicking in and blast it down the motorway for a few miles, worked for me.
depend on how low your suspension is/how you you may want it in future and what tyre size you have.
i say go for aluminium 15mm system b hubcentrics, should look good with a 30-40mm drop and improve stability and cornering...
thats a gt 5 door, not available in this country i dont think, so you will have to import one if you want gt spec....
the 16" wheels are big enough, mines lowered about 40mm with custom 13mm spacers and it looks perfect
imo.....
if your gonna change the wheels you may aswell try to get...
lol went to gti international a few times and some french pikeys had some 8v energy engines on pallets in the camp site just ragging the f**k out of em putting beer down the carb and popping them by cutting the ignition all the time, think they just like the noise and limiters as if the french...
yeah give me a shout when you wanna do it so i can get the thing clean, couple of days notice would be good as i work away alot, been in devon for 2 weeks lol......
yeah i recon its the mani gasket has gone/manifold has warped or cracked, if the ticking is the same on cold/warm then less chance of it being lifters.
for the sake of another 30-40 quid i would put a new set of quality plugs in there too.
but hopfully a nice cheap fix for you either way.......
looks sweet as f**k that.
what suspension/camber is it running??
imo just need the badges and bullets black, and stickers put in less random places.....
anything lower than 40mm get new uprated shorter shocks.
argubly you should get them with -40mm but if money is a bit tight then the -40mm will at least give your standard dampers a chance for a few thousand miles, most manufacturers will sell you the matching shocks as a kit.
you have a performance car that argubly handles best in class so why ruin it with cheap crappy tyres. one thing never to be cheap with on performance cars is brakes and tyres......
on the other hand ther are cheaper brands that offer very similar quality/performance that could save you a few...
20mm will be to much with lowered suspension or you will need to put some big negative camber on.
15mm is about your max i think on a mk2 rs.
if you put 5mm spacers or less on then they wont be hubcentric as there is enough lip left on the disc to support the wheel and you dont need longer...
jamies zs sounded abit like that that turned into a knocking and ended up with a snapped cam i think.....
i recon its either a blowing manifold or lifters.......
