So I've been lurking around more and more on detailingworld, always been into paint correction but not much else on the maintenance side of things.
Had been reading a few write-ups and it seems people were starting to use the likes of Iron-X and Wolfs De-Ironiser on bodywork etc. So I made the...
So I'm putting my car back to standard to sell on, so thought I'd grab some pics before I take everything off this weekend. I've recently changed the wheels but something's came up so that's forcing the sale
So I'm selling my cup to make way for a new car, I've been looking around for a diesel, most probably a fabia vrs but it seems people want mental money for cars with 100k+ on them.
This gives me a problem as I don't want to be shelling out for something with a million miles on for nearly £5k...
I actually don't see the point in Cs attending anymore, cliosport Saturday each year would be better for us to attend each year instead of fcs, we choose when to begin, where the venue is and what goes on during the day. No mongs allowed
I did see a couple of cars that weren't, namely craig's s/c ph1 that I detailed earlier in the week, a mint R5 Gtt and a black c2 on schmidt modern lines, for the rest that I saw they weren't representing the french scene at all, a small minority do bodykits these days but going through the club...
Don't Like:
The wind, after someone losing his door to the wind and it collecting my rear quarter in the process this wasn't a good thing. I say it every single year rockingham isn't a good place to host a car show due to the ammount of wind/dust that is there. I think the surface isn't...
Are you running the cat mate? I want to have the system running a little less restricted and don't want it to sound like a wet fart.
I did watch the video when the duck posted it and was impressed with the result, the thing is the only way to tell if its down to the exhaust is to put a...
Yeah a ph1 head is meant to be the best for power so I've heard, one of the many things I considered when looking at making a hybrid engine for the trophy
Tbh I fitted the FK konigsports to my 172 cup and honeslty thought I'd ruined the car, after having a play around and a set-up done down at JMS it does make a lot more sense, the rear still doesn't feel connected but that should be sorted with a whiteline RARB.
I would say that a standard car...
172 runs a 4-1 exhaust manifold
182 has 4-2-1 exhaust manifold
As far as I've been told the cams are slightly different after someone doing some 'tests' on RTOC
Also the 182 got some tweaks the to ECU map.
Some cars got fitted with 'Rs' stamped inlets which seem to have been machined more...
Yes mate that was me, they were awesome but the ammount of people who walked by and commented on how good the 'compomotives' looked started annoying me haha, the ph1 parked next to me will now be wearing the black speedlines and mine will be on the white chrono's for a while
I really really...
Alright guys, having a bit of a debate in my head atm, I've currently got a recessed AAS system on the 172 but I've agreed the gf can have it on her 172 as she nagged me all the way back from FCS
I'm thinking forward on this and wondering what's the best system for performance for a 172...
Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
Was nice to put a face to a name yesterday mate, car was looking cool, sorry I couldn't chat much, had to do a lightening fast wheel change when I noticed everyone leaving for the parade lap
Basically the welds on miltek exhausts seem to be crap, almost every miltek exhaust I've known in some shape or form seems to have cracked at the welds.
They do look and sound good though, surely they've had enough come-backs now to realise something has to be done to improve them? This...
I've been modifying cars now for around 6-7 years, I'm starting to get bored of it now and seriously considering just a remap on my next car. You can get plenty of options from dealers now to make the car look great from the factory so that's probably the next steps some time in 2012
Had a good day even though I spent a few hours of it cleaning some white wheels caked in brake dust :(
Only bad thing was just as I was about to leave some tool decided to pull his standard red 1.2 into the space next to me, the wrong way round and slightly close, he said the wind caught hold...
in two minds matey, I really like the car and it's got all the right bits on. I wouldn't mind getting hold of some trophy hubs and getting a set of Sachs on the front end and lifting the rear up, in a bid to make the ultimate Clio, good handling, no abs, no air con but retaining climate control :)
This looks beautiful Luke, wish I had a camera/photography skills to get those results
I miss my trophy, I went to see it today, the paint is covered in dust and swirls, I'm sorely tempted to buy it back :-/
Re: Ollie's Silver Cup - JMS RS2/428s/Wilwood/2118
I never had a problem with the de-cat on my ph1 and I had both lambda's plugged in, always ran it on 95.
When I put the de-cat on the trophy the light came on after around 150 miles and I always ran it on V-power
Storm grey FTW!
If anyone is after a cheap trophy (for the number) then my old one may be up for grabs soon. It's actually been de-trophied so needs spoiler, recaro's, sachs and turini's, oh and the small matter of an engine, then form an orderly que
