oh right thought you meant the valves as well.its the pulleys/tensioners that would have put your price up on that job.i think the aux belt tensioner is over £100 on its own.
depends on dealer ive found.we use 10/40 semi synthetic(unsure of the make though).gear oil is esso trx 85/90.gearboxes are filled for life so it shouldnt need changing unless a repair reqs them to drain it(clutch, driveshaft etc)
i dont think they will mate.i mean why would anybody remove a nice set of exspensive zenons and fit normal lights,i doubt renault would accept that if the dealer tryed it on.interested to know the outcome of this, let me know wont you.
the rpm is the same but the throttle position and engine load isnt.if in nuetral the engine isnt under load so will req only a slight bit of throttle to hold it at 3500 rpm.but whilst your moving you need more throttle due to the engine being under load.you need more throttle to stay at 3500rpm...
if the icm says it should have them then thats proof enough because that is the renault system thats saying zenons were fitted.sounds like the dealer you bought the car off has been swapping bits around.get renault customer services onto them the robbing b******s.
the bar has got to attach to the vehicle body otherwise whats the point.there designed to stop flex/stiffen it up,they cant do that if there not attached to the body can they.
the clear pics youve posted earlier on are defo not xenons but hard to tell on them pics above(the left lamp looks a bit like a xenon but you cant really tell).if the dealers swapped them then thats a complete bodge on their part.post up what customer services say.ill check the car details with...
xenons will cost renault a fair amount to install but so they should its a 172 and it should have them.thats there fault not yours at the end of the day.the connectors for the headlights are different on zenons so i cant see anyone at the dealer swapping them it must have been built like that...
