do a search or start a post asking about which upgrade brake kits people recommend if i was you as i have no idea which kits best.also depends on what you use the vehicle for as some brake kits only work well when their hot which you wouldnt achieve on normal road use.
just read page 6.i would see what renault uk say but youve definatly got a case against the dealer.theyve sold you a non spec car at the end of the day.
check battery water level,battery connections,engine earths,alternator connections especially the connector block,aux belt tension and the charging rate @the battery(between 13v and 14.7v)
the person who had the fault had it immediatly after fitting the cat.this was to quick for the obd system to self test the cat as the conditions are very specific.it sounded like they had damaged the sensor or its connector when they swapped it over.
they are two different amperage alternator specs.also the early 19s had a different tensioner setup so the alternator on early 19s is probably different to a clio.would need the details off both cars to check for sure.
check obvious things like is the throttle linkage including cable and pedal are all free and not sticking.if thats ok then probably a idle valve fault.part of the throttle body on a mk1 and not avaliable separatly.
never changed an engine on one yet.the previous engine(d7f) to yours(which is very similiar)was also tough so im sure yours(d4f) will be the same.dont worry about it.
i meant sealed for life as in the oil doesnt need changing.you can still strip them and change synchro rings etc.a clutch fault would affect reverse selection as reverse has no synchros so the clutch must fully disengage otherwise you will have difficulty selecting reverse.you could try some...
