The recaros are about 60% of the standard seat weight in my opinion having handled them all in and out of the car and up 3 flights of stairs a couple of times lol.
Theres less mechanics underneath as there is no height/ghetto lean adjustment, no airbags and associated weight in the recaros.
yeah mate dead easy,
Jack the car up then support the car on the box section at the back either with axel stands either side.
Then use the crappy Renault jack to support the entire swing arm when you take the shocks off - otherwise it will drop hard, the springs will pop out and just...
Quick question, I am using PTFE for a very similar application to the inlet gaskets produced for cars, I need to have the same (aprox) temperature stability & a minimum of 20n/m compressive deformation resistance. Can anyone in the know who produces the inlets please post up the specs for the...
agreed, seems to completely block the direct flow of air (even if hot :S) which is what the intake is designed to do - funnel like action.
Too make things worse behind that heat shield will be turbulent and low pressure due to the cars movement froward; hence a vacum sort of effect will be...
well done fella, worth all that effort! We're twins now lol
Just one thing that might help;
I notice here you have used the supplied recaro slider handle.
I found it to be a very poor fit and sat at a funny angle, similar to how yours is. So instead I put the standard handle in a vice and...
^^ Hi nice one for returning, its all right around here I promise!
When I bumped into you I was wondering were you were heading so it was cool to have a chat (be it a quick one!)
As above James and I have a wicked local meet we organise, get involved you wont be disappointed, cheeky tunnel run...
did at first, spent some time with strips of rubber mating under the various parts that rattled, now completely rattle free :D
Not the easiest car to get massive power gains out of, people tend to go for weight reduction and handling, as they already have reasonable power. Capable of...
Welcome!
182 all the way - but then I am biased. As long as it has both cup packs you will have a very capable car, that is drivable every day of the week. When the mood takes you it can put the biggest smile on your face  + a lot quicker than the other two in standard form
so heres the damage:
It has split almost directly opposite the collar closure, and judging by the propagation of the crack, it is due to the compression and expansion of the ring as it has been undone/tightened or turned under excessive force.
Hi ho you on here? I stopped next to you last night at about 10.00pm in a black 182 just off the M4, quick chat and the off we went, guessing the seat was with you as they waved at me?
T
buy what you can afford fella, then you'll have a couple of quid knocking about to mod it to your tastes etc and still be able to pay the bills & have hot water!
yeah there is a retaining screw - sorry I used my hex adaptor in my socket set, but it shouldn't be too tight, just make sure it is clean first as its easy to round.
2 Bolts on back of calipers are always tight but will come off with some persuasion.
nice rob mate, those wheels are mint ;) good too see you got it to perfect standard nick.
Don't complain about the ASTs, you were just running them too low ;) I love every minute of them they have made the car 100% better to drive :D
right had both front shocks of today, gave them a good clean up - something I should have done when I picked them up tbh - toothbrushed all the junk and grit out of the threads greased them up and put the replacement ring back on so happy they are back up and running.
I'll take a pick of the...
Nope no complaining fred lol. Been to powerstation this morning andCurtis was very helpful, gave me replacment parts for free! Had to get up at the crack of dawn to get overs here from London but got my part so I'm happy. With reference to the collar Curtis said he had never seen one split...
