Was a cracking day, Foxy hope you don't mind If I add some pics to this thread instead of starting a new one, there are a few mk1s getting overtaken if it helps :rasp:
lovely car!
love the work with the cat, 182's have high flow cats so you will better gains de-catting a 172 in theory, I'd defineatly think about adjusting my cat like yours in the future if needed!

Re: My 182, six months of ownership in words and pics
Just take your time fella and definitely get some instruction if you can, makes a world of difference especially on a very technical track such as brands! When I first got to Brands in the morning and saw paddock hill I was pretty...
Re: My 182, six months of ownership in words and pics
*update - first track outing!*
Finally yesterday I got the 182 out on the track, and to say I enjoyed it would be an understatement! The RenaultSport Day was held at Brands Hatch, turning out to be cool and largely dry apart from a damp...
Bit of a plonker for not HPI'ing a car before buying tbh, its only £10ish with the RAC - its one of the most basic things you should do when looking to buy I would have thought?

My long term goal is to have a day to day mile muncher, diesel something or other with a towbar & soft seats ;) as I do around 40k+ a year and have a cup racer as a little mechanical project/weekend toy/money pit.
I'd love to leave the silly driving for the track as my experience grows and do...
Thanks for all the info fellas, really helpful. Its something that I am toying with for the future one day, just wanted to see how you would go about picking one up/where.
Fred, a car being post championship - what sort of millage do they clock up/hours operation. Will the cars that competed be...
Just looking for some general info on the clio cup race cars.
When the Clio Cup Series move onto a new generation of cars, what happens/where do they sell the old race cars?
When (if) they sell them does Renault carry on supporting an owner/provide a post dated parts catalogue? I understand...
Its a carbon canister, to do with engine emissions. Effectively adsorbs fuel vapors.
Ticking is totally normal as it has a solenoid in it.
Sounds like it might be packing up or the sensor in it needs replacing.
