i'll echo that above post^^ may be particles. i know if you grind near your car the bits of metal can stick to the paint and rust then be quite obvious, happened to me pretty sure clay would lift it off.

think its the original shaft that stops it going in reverse (see that sivler block on the left.. it hits that and then lifts it when you lift)

take it off then till you can get two bolts. have you removed it once? as the bolts may have fell off the studs but still be inside the recess?

that ktec one in the first post is still just another generic map though.. prob about as much use as a superchip. only way for a decent map is to have it properly setup for your car via rolling road then on the road to fine tune bits. every engines different and these 172/182 engines...

done 550 miles.. some of them very hard miles too. average 36mpg. allthough it starts drinking it on the motorway anything above 75..
