i can see why you would be in 2nd or 3rd on a slip road.. but not why you would want to change gear on a bend..
thats just asking for some lift off oversteer treatment!
ive seen some 130W rally h1 bulbs for sale.. LOL
people with 172/182 xenons..
have any of you upgraded the h7 main beam to a higher wattage for a better full beam?
what wattage have you got and was there a big improvement?
wont dazzle any drivers as you dont have them on infront of other...
but they cant accurately tell the proper transmission loss anyway.. they just guestimate
rolling roads can only really be taken with a pinch of salt.
27% is a bit high for a fwd car?
dunno how much mine has.. i dont measure it buy the bottle.. i check the dipstick.
if the manual says 4.75 then it may be 4.75
just double check that the 4.75 figure is for the 2.0 engine with a filter change too as they absorb some of the oil out the sump. my data cd states a 1.2 takes 4.8...
doubt anybody really knows.. has so many factors that could effect the true reading..
id say 20% loss from the flywheel figure would be a good guess.
but remember.. if your going the other way.. this doesnt mean you can simply add 20% to the wheels figure.
thats one of the main problems i have with the 182.. it REALLY needs a 6th cruising gear. which would give the opportunity to shorten the others.
so you dont have to sit at 70mph screaming its tits off.. lol.
but then the more gearchanges may mean its slower..
my 182 feels like it pulls...
its different for all vehicles..
depends on the gearbox design, wheel size, tyres, etc probably wheel weight.
the rolling roads do it i think by doing a run down.. they drive your car hard foot to the floor, let off after thepower run and leave it to coast down itself and it somehow works...
doubt you will be able to improve noise as its an enclosed box..
as for performance.. not sure if removing that acoustic valve out of the standard cold air feed does anything?? might be best asking fred or someone.
could always drill a huge hole in the front of the standard airbox and fit...
no need to be like that is there.
said above its around 170ish bhp, which is usually the norm for '182's.
in other thread you said you wished you had left the car standard...
does that mean standard ride height etc too?
think all the confusion was about that 150bhp figure which i still dont realise what it is.
most places give you wheels figure, fly figure, and a torque figure..
