Yep, vat registered and using genuine renault parts, correct oil etc....even renault dont do it right, I had 10w40 in last time. Not really a big deal , but there only guidelines state 5w40 i think.

I have thought about that, £500 for an engine, or have been quoted under £1k for one fitted, low mileage. But I have been told today that the noise is normal tappet noise and I shouldnt worry.lol.

I had gearbox oil changed today, and I notice a slight difference, still notchy but gearchanges are smooth, less friction if you know what i mean.

I reckon if I stopped all the joy rides, I could save £50 a month easy, which can go towards other mods. I hate to think exactly how much I have spent as a result of having this car. car 9k insurance for 2 years - £1600 modifications - £2500 servicing/consumables - £700 tyres - easily £700+ ICE...

I reckon I used around 24k miles of petrol at 30mpg average on a good day.(not 24k in one day:rasp:) that 800 gallons, or approx £4000, in over a year. And the fact is most of these miles are purely joy riding.lol. Just like to go out for a nice drive and chill out.:cool:
