Possibly, i do think that that its more 172 to 182 imo after driving Steves when i had mine........Its not night and day imho. Plus points for me are better ratios and quicker rack on cup spec. Actual turn of speed imo was no different. The lower gearing in 1st + 2nd helps the 'grunt'
I'd not go through insurance. I'd do something like sir dave said. If the subframe is ok, its only panel damage/and a few bolt in things. Be cheaper to source 2nd hand parts.....
Also this whole alloy thing is way out of proportion imo. I work with a lad who a few years ago had a boggo 1.2...

Motorsport wheels. These are the UK importers of H&R. Cut out the middle men. Be warned they aren't the most helpful, i waited a month for a shock dust cover lol
I sourced a set of front calipers, cleaned them up till sparkling, then sprayed them. Just done the rear pad carriers today. Strip down, major clean up, sprayed and refitted. Look ace!
Yes. I could use the money i get from the Cup, put it in a seperate account to pay for the 200, but i suppose they will see it as an outgoing which ever way i do it.
Good idea. All major bits have been done on my cup, camblets/exhaust/suspension and what not, so unless the engine goes pop, hopefully not a lot to go wrong. Low milage at the mo too. However, the cup will be worth what £1500 in two years, where as i could pimp around in a new ugly car for two...
I really dont know what to do,as i'm saving for a house. Job is nice and stable so no worries there. I can easily afford it, and dont use the car for work (so thats good). I have the Cup to sell with some bits ~5k. I can put the deposit down now, sell the Cup nearer the time. I could then either...
LOL! Tried any good bodyshops? I use one locally (bit far for you) but he quoted about £100 to remove about 5 dents round my gf's ZS fiesta. Pretty reasonable i thought?
Oh and i was stalking some of your old posts the other day, looking at all them new bits you've bought..... sounds just like...
Yeah, its a possibility! Since sleeping on it, and not getting the car till probably mid October, its a long wait.......... Might sort out the house first. Hmmmm what to do :(
Exactly. My Cup will virtually pay the repayments over the two years, where's if i keep the Cup it will be worthless by then. Toss up between SG or GW for me!
I'm going to see them tomorrow if i get time. Bigger deposit, then keep the repayments at £200. Dont really want to be paying more than that a month for something that only gets used mainly at weekends
Sooooo peeps who are clued up abput this.....
I'd want Storm Grey AC and speedlines. Not fussed on the Recaros as i still have them from my 197, so i could use them. Couldi put down a bigger deposit, and still keep the monthly repayments at £199 pm? If so, i'm off to Lookers this weekend ;)
