It doesn't take a genius to realise why people buy them. They're as much of a fashion accessory as anything else. Ever since victoria beckham was pictured wearing one when they first hit the stores you knew they'd be huge.
1. I have Grado SR80's.
2. My fingers aren't fat - you roll your finger round, remove you finger form the circle to press select and it moves. Perfect it aint.
3. I'll try it, but that does not excuse the fact that the OEM software is rubbish.
4. I wondered how long it would take for an...
They can invalidate your insurance as some companies will not insure a car with a decat iirc but I have no idea on the legality. If you were pulled over and had your emissions tested roadside i guess you'd get a fine and a producer to get it tested.
Having read through a few threads it seems the majority go for leaving the second lambda out - So I'll need a plug for the second lambda hole on my decat when I get it fitted. Any idea what thread size is?
Ta.
If there is a big lip on the edge of the disc it's most likely they need replacing. Modern pads tend to eat discs much morer than I remember from older cars as a yoof.
There is a minimum thickness for the disc, but I'll be fucked if I can remember what it is.... lol
Oh and for future...
Cups are more expensive because of the amount of claims. They get binned. Often. Although in my opinion that's down to people buying a Cup (and there are many on here who are like it!!) and thinking that because they own a stonking hot hatch that it turns them into ragnotti himself. When in fact...
The interface is ace. I love the way you can sort through your tunes. I just don't get on with sliding my finger round to scroll through stuff. Not quite accurate enough for me (perhaps I'm just hamfisted lol).
I might be alone in this, and I have a nano myself, but I can't help thinking that iPods are overrated. They look gorgeous, as with most Apple products. But they don't sound that great, the buttons are fiddly, they're not the most reliable thing in the world and the iTunes software is f**king shite.
They've becom a victim of their own sucess lol. I have them on my 172 and have done since 2004. But they've become something of a faux pas on here now. But there is no denying that they really do suit the Clio.
True. But I think most people on here now (and befiore!) have only ever really liked subtle exterior mods. After you've colour coded a few bits, lowered changed the wheels etc there reeally isn't anywhere to go without sticking shitty bits of kit on them.
That's what makes an interesting debate imo.
I'd have to say Chris's Racing blue is f**king ace. As was his ph1. guy has taste!
i also like Ali's pink bus and Tim's Iceburg 172..... I want his engine bay!!
I also stick on in for the mk1's.... martins car is showcases just how good these...
Sorted. Didn't have the Zero Supression tac checked in the dimension style. so it was showing feet and inches not just inches.
So bloody frustrating. lol.
Cheers pal.
Doing a simple drawing using AutoCad2007 LT. hopefully will be a piece of piss for those of you that use it alot.
drawing has mixed unit dimensions - Most are fractional imperial but there is on dimension which needs to be in engineering imperial (0.998"). I can get the dimension on the...
lol... I really liked the contis!
PE2's are a good tyre, don't get me wrong. Just I've heard so many people rave about them yet personally found them pretty unremarkable. Guess I may have been expecting too much.
Also toying as to whether the jump to 205's is worthwhile.... 195's seem a...
had PE2's for a while - Pretty decent tyre and have worn well... Although I don't see what all the fuss is about. Don't rate them much higher than the standard contis tbh but they stay as a possibility because I can get them cheap from costco.
Never tried the Goodyears or the Pirellis so...
Only time I have struggled to tell is when the 172/182 is black. Black really hides the lines of a car.
Which might some way to explaining Day's black Ph-Ugly looks alright ;)
Pretty much. Not something you should try yourself, although I don't beleive that actually loading a new map onto your ECU would be that difficult given the right equipment.
It's the alterations to the map itself where the clever stuff is.
I may have it wrong but I was under the...
It's basically loading a new program onto your ECU. The part of the program that controls the fuelling etc is called a 'map'. Therfore changing the stock map on the standard ECU is know as a 'remap'.
