I've no doubt on track it's a whole different story. The mk 1's are just so light. And you can tell why when you sit in one to be fair. They feel like they're made from cardboard and held together with spit. lol.
About as reliable as Tony Blairs manifesto on weapons of mass destruction.
About as useful as a Scotsman in a football kit
About as useful as a chocolate teapot
etc etc
Exhausts are quite an exact science. You need a certain amount of back pressure for torque as well as being free flowing to get the gases out quickly. If your exhaust is blowing, fix it. Although if it's a ramshackle job in the first place it could even be improving it. lol.
(says the man...
It is basic arithmetic - But it's based on estimates anyway! The 15% is merely a ballpark figure.
Don't get too hung up on RR results. Always take them with a pinch of salt.
You're spot on what you say though Gordon - There are a lot of rolling road places up and down the country that...
If you leave the pre-cat sensor in and the post-cat sensor out (and shake it all about lol) then it should register a difference. But from what I've read on here it's a bit of a lottery as to whether or not your light comes on.
They don't seem brilliant on the strip - Maybe it's the gear ratios? The quickest 172 time is a ph2 iirc @ 14.6 (standard engine but rear seats out iirc)
Besides, straight lines are for gays.
Great. Who bumped this thread? I've got some greenstuff pads ready to go onto my car now. LOL.
I'll give them a go. Mate of mine has them on his stripped ZetecS (with a 150bhp Puma engine I might add) and says they are great for the cash. So we shall see.
My missus has just been put off buying one by the guy in phones for you because everyone they've sold has had to be sent back for repair!
Anyone got any similar experiences or is he talking cod s**t?
SteveV6.... Hmmmm tough one.
He drives ph2 Clio V6 iirc. And I was talking about the ph1 Clio V6. I drove a ph1 and made my own opinion. Which was what I posted.
Now climb out of his arse. lol
:approve:
I've said all along (in a thread not so long ago) that iPods are not bad by any stretch of the imagination. I just seriously fail to see what, apart from their stylish looks, sets them apart from other players.
They took three years to design a car that was relatively underpowered and handled like an elephant on roller skates? Jeez. Doesn't say much for Renault.
;)
Didn't they make the V6 becuase Renault had heard VW were doing somehting similar with a Polo?!
Heard that somewhere. lol.
Whatever their reason for building it, I'm sure it won't take a couple of hours to explain. I don't hink they spent that long designing the first one. lol.
