A williams would be easier due to the lack of re-wiring required, although the megane engine will fit you will require the engine loom from the megane and the ECU. You will then have to connect this up to the dash loom - personally i would stick to a williams conversion.
BenR is cliosport furniture - been here since the beginning and can talk the talk....he also walks the walk. I would feel safe leaving a car with him and Andi ( GDi ) :)
The deal above sounds superb - wish thats all i got charged when i had my car mapped. This is something im going to have to...
Engines are capable of developing more power than what they develop from the manufacturer. The reason being is manufacturers de-tune there engines for reliability so therefore it will last the warranty period ( in most cases ) i see no reason why a few tweeks will cause any damage so i wouldnt...
Im intrigued with this post - its amazing what can be done to a car by just mapping the ECU. Different tuning companies always seem to deliver different results on cars with similar set ups. I understand different software is used and some of the results are very good. Whats not been mentioned...
The r-sport ECU is mapped to take the mods. I had all the above on mine and with a little help from gas i was running mid 13' on the strip. If youve got more money to play with contact Andi at GDi for more info on ECU's and re-maps
dont worry about it - your oxy sensor measures polutent gases coming from your engine - a catalytic convertor decreases the harmful emissions. When you remove the cat the sensor picks up the level of unpurified gas coming from the engine and recognises this is more than the level it has been...

You will have to take the full shaft off. Unbolt the wheel and undo the hub nut - disconnect the hub from the wishbone / ball joint and undo the track rod end bolt and knock it out of the hub. Drain the gearbox oil. Then pull the hub towards you and pull the shaft out of the box. Pull the old...
Yes it will fit in a valver - Forgot to mention this engine has had head work / cams / hillpower inlet manifold / R-sport ECU + other various bits n bobs
I dont do the conversions no more for the public - trouble is when you do these sort of things you get nobs asking for 12 month warranty's and the service history of the car the engine come out of + lots of more stupid things. So now i just sell the kit for £1500 + vat
The engine used here is a mk2 lump FBW - providing you use the ECU and loom and throttle pedal off the donor car its ok
All this work was carried out today - Friday 2 / 12 / 2005
Brought the car in at 9am - stripped the 1.2 diet engine out and dropped in a 2.0 16v 172 engine / loom / box / ecu / susupension / brakes etc etc. Took 8 hrs to do with no problems at all - vehicle is now running and needs minor work to complete conversion ( brakes bleeding etc etc ) Took these...
