I know you can get a brand new ST170 crate engine for £1.5k and comes everything but ECU and gearbox (but has clutch).
Ford picked the wrong company to borrow their engines from.
Never a truer word said. Clios are all about that go kart feel. And (most) go karts don't have turbo lag.
All that being said, I reckon @Mr. Plums was just too scared to see how quick the turbo one really was :tongueout:
I had Nexen N2000s on my 1.2, they were a budget tyre. I actually had a noticeable drop in grip when I changed to T1Rs.
I miss the Nexens. The tread pattern was dead sexy.
I seem to recall it self cancelled several times because it was struggling, and eventually it got confused by the spray coming off the truck and thought the lane was empty.
For me, the cost of driving up to Gally and getting him to do it pales into insignificance compared to the value in getting it done properly (and compared to the cost of the work!).
That really is grim news if it is dying as you're probably one of the most mechanically sympathetic RS owners out there.
That said if they do fit the uprated gasket etc (and it solves the problem long term), then it's going to be more valuable than a potential ticking time bomb.
See, Tesla really have moved things on. I love how all the mainstream manufacturers have pussyfooted around making either the same old s**t with electric motors shoehorned into them, or just completely wacky cars that look embarassing to own. Tesla fucked off all the conventions, didn't copy...
Who the f**k leverages the additional stiffness of a 3 or 5 door over its counterpart on a road car?
I bet most wouldn't even notice doing trackdays, let alone on the A303.
Wow. You actually did it.
Sad congrats. Actually end of an era, and secretly a car I really liked too.
Still, you can buy this now, add 100bhp over your last car.
It's intentional. A speedo must overread by law so most manufacturers add a couple of mph offset to the actual speed, which is what the CC shows. Pretty sure you can't change it.
