@john182rs Stick a picture or two up in it's current condition and i'll tell you the bits you can have off it in less than 10 mins, that will sell quickly and are worth any money.
Most of the bits will end up being scrapped with the shell, or hang around forever.
Lol, i was driving my cousin's one of these once, and the bonnet flew up at 65mph. Proper scary. Luckily, it's made of tin foil, so just folded it back down, gave it a thump and it shut again and never went wrong again, lol. The bonnet was so flimsy it didn't even break the screen or dent the roof!
Take a leaf out of @Cub. 's book IMO. Find a garage, invite 10-12 select people over to do a 2 hour shift each on the thing. Put the BBQ on and keep everyone well oiled. Watch the thing drive out next weekend.
To MOT it, can't you just put a sat nav on the dash showing GPS speed?
No need to have all of the dash working for an MOT i don't think? As long as the tester is pre-warned anyway ;)
The only one you may have to drill and plate the floor for is the crotch belt. Everything else should be able to be done by the standard seatbelt mounting points with eyebolts, or on the subframe.
Gary Spooner at Littlehampton seems to be doing a lot of good work at the minute. I know he's sorted a few Clio Turbo problem cars out, so could be worth a shout?
