What is the torque curve like at that point..
are your gearbox ratios suitable.. ?
BHP IS an important factor.. along with the torque.. so is the steepness of the bhp curve..

if the brakes are fine today.. put it down to ambient temps.
re the CV, no probs, just get if fixed asap when you get home.
avoid any car washes that do an underbody wash and try to avoid standing water on the road (puddles big or small)

reno go to the trouble of changing castings and tubing for inlet and exhaust.. mod the airbox etc.. all feed pipes.. and they get.. what ??.. another 2-3 foot / pounds torque..
