if you had twin buckets would it be possible to move the passenger seat really far forward as there is no steering column and more room so people could squeeze in the back ?
if not it looks like twin recliners for me. bucket seats usually look mint but there probably uncomfy over long...
as mentioned i cant. sometimes i have to get some mates in the back to travel just a few miles from village to town so its needed for those times when we cant get a lift. secondly if my GFs nan needs hospital i need to be able to seat at least three.
hmm.... one bucket one recliner then...
i have to agree a good driver counts for something.. hence the recent trophy v bmw M6 500bhp. but there is a limit. i dont mock anyones car as bascially all cars are the same 4 wheels and an engine if people wanna spend more on a car, fuel, tyres, tax, servicing + all the other costs you get...
so two cobra opus + subframe and side mounts = £756
one bucket + passenger same weight as x 2 recliners = £385 better support for going fast.
= £371 difference !
ahh i see you point now. not sure but i think a lower bucket seat on its own would look fairly daft from the passengers side...
so the least weight comes from two recliners but twin recliners will cost more.
sorry for sounding dumb, is that what you meant ?
how much are subframes (custom or otherwise)
^^^^ what he said ive just ordered these..

hope there the right ones, they are meant to replace the orange side repeaters.
how do you get aftermarket seats in ? ive just bought a cup and i find the high driving posision better than in the 172 for some reason.. still i think it could do with being around 3-4cms lower than standard. do i need custom subframes or do these compromise safety are they as rigid as...
bigger pic for you..

id like some lighter wheels for the cup anyone got the weight on the turinis and the weight on these to hand ?
any good increase in pull ? obviously with other mods and a remap it would be better , but on its own is it any good ?
ohh and how does it sound as its a close unit isnt it ? does it add anything
does this chafe and create to much rubage on the 172cup/172/182 engine bits, i heard it rubs things near it and makes a mess as its a wee bit too large.
i really fancy one of these but dont want to mess the engine up.
i can imagine from that last shot a RS version looking at least as mean as the 172/182 and having more power should keep its pace up with the outgoing model.
... however does a car match the sum of its parts ? no. so i hope the fun hasnt vanished, i dont mean power fun, 50:50 weight...
there all gonna drop like rocks when the new one comes out.
i dont think there is much difference between prices for 182s or 172s in fact id wager i very low milege 172 would get the same price if not more than a high miledge 182 when the new model comes out
i sold my 172 53 reg for £6200...
i know the feeling i had my 172MKII for 21months and even though i used it everyday for work it was still a cool car to be in.. sure its a bit too tiny inside but that kind of buzzing around like a bumble bee in a 172bhp super mini( clio looks like one to me) cant be beaten neither can the car...
cant say fairer than that !
just worried il get them on and my tyres will start to wear uneven as a result of fitting.
btw its not too firm or bouncy is it ?? when i got the konis orginally id was sooooo hard not damped at all just rock solid and awful until i moved onto a different setup.
is there a practical reason for -1.5 i think thats what the place did once i had it all done and they didnt wear anymore. i.e is 0 deg condusive to less acurate or sharp ride ? is the -1.5 deg doesnt seem like much.
so lets say i get some H&R for a 172cup wheres the cheapes place to get a set...
also if H&R are fixed does that mean you cannot alter firmness or ride height ? if so how di you get -50/55mm ???

once youve fitted H&R do you need camber adjustment and tracking done, last itme i fitted koni adjustables (not coilovers) i went through tyres every two months from uneven wear, then once i had a full professional alignment done with camber change it was peachy.
also how the hell do you know...
