Might not be quite that much, but it is pretty much mechanically the same engine. I know the pulley was that much, then just going off the trader section in here. The cambelt has to come off to change the pulley....

Yes had mine done on my 172. New pulley needed, around £120 ish, then new cambelt time....... So £500 ish, to have new pulley + cambelt/Aux kit fitted? Not sure about Scottish specialists, but RS murray are in Leeds. It'll never actually fail, but they do sound aweful i agree!

Indeed. When taking off the cluster, the units are the same (H1 D2S is stampled on the rear) only difference i could see was the actual H1 bulb holder. This was mine pre hid, H1 cornering lamps

Good good! I bought mine with the cornering lamps, then retro fitted a 5000k hid kit (so no chavvy blue) then fitted all the o.e bits on the washer system lol. Looked 100% o.e. I just couldnt find one with xenons locally at the time (end of 2007) Most garages dont know. For example, most MK2...

Only get cornering, or better Xenon. Silver reflectors look pish. That was my only requirement when i bought my 197!

Koni/sSportline set up. Pricey though. If i ever get tired of the Billsteins B14's i have, this will be the set up i'll have. Wont drop 60mm though.

Mine lost its Renault patch for sure. Lasted two weeks. That's why i never had mine remapped. Also kevo's car kept losing his map when he had just the Cams fitted.........

Most aftermarket systems drone on Clios, but if its a ktec stealth, i've found them the worst of the bunch. The Cup i bought KTR stealth fitted. It lasted 7 days. Bought a new standard system, and all is well :)
