Bit of a different league to us racing our little Clios about on trackdays. Car looks awesome and the plans sound exciting.
Good stuff with the updates :)
Any footage of this series, would love to watch it.
I thought it was you who was messaging me about buying it haha! Someone else saw my post and jumped on the bank wagon ;)
I had a look for it last night and have no bloody idea where it's gone unfortunately.
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
Thanks for sharing. Looks like you had some decent weather whilst out on the track.
Car looks great. Got a soft spot for Monacos.
Gutted to hear about the engine blow!! You seem to have taken it very well though.
What's the replacement then? A 997.2 Carrera S engine?
More pics desperately needed!!!!!!!
Varley Red Top 25. I've only had it fitted for a month or so though, so can't comment on it over winters etc. Car probably gets turned on or used once or twice in a two week period at the moment.

Have you tried your girlfriends sim in your phone too? Might help narrow it down a bit.

It will make it louder though yes. Potentially quite droney on the motorway though.
WOW, that is beautiful James. What a fantastic job you have done with the car.
My favourite Clio on the forum without a dought.
Properly jealous of that!!
Cheers Dan for the reply. Not really what I wanted to hear but at least I know now.
Anything that will fail/explode and cause serious misery though? Or will it just get to the point where the clutch gets shagged and unusable?
Guess if the box has to come off a refurb and a diff will be...
Noticed this very slight tappety noise appear when driving along. It's not the Dephaser, that was replaced in January.
The noise completely disappears when I press the clutch down and returns when I release it. Clutch itself feels fine. Indicates to me maybe it's something to do with the...
I have Sportlines and I think they are awesome. My car looks a fair amount lower than it did on standard springs too.
I have heard the Cooksport springs are also very good too though. I think Chip changed over from Sportlines to these and he recorded a few mm height reduction on average from...
