Re: show cars?- what the f**k do they use??
Elbow grease!!
Seriously tho, i used meg's show car carnuba wax (two coats 24hours apart) on top of AG SRP and megs paint cleanser and a gold class shampoo. Gonna order some Poorboy's Polish with Carnauba BLUE and Poorboy's Natty's Wax BLUE from...
Actually mate i'm a copycat, i saw your car and thought that looks great i'll have 'em.:o
bonnet sticker is from the pistonheads website shop, under the vinyl lettering section 1.50 ;)
Since Friday i have been doing a little bit each day to the clio and the results.....it not quite in rich's league, but it's my first stab at detailing. Needless to say my arms are fookin killing! :)
Thats my favourite piccy ;) very chrome like :D
Wheels need a little attention, kurb...
I think it must of compounded the problem, the connector causing the problem was completely convered in grime and oil, i think the water i rinsed the bonnet with just brought the problem out.
Looks great rich, the reflection off the black gold paint is wicked, almost looks like chrome is this pic of the side stripe
I spent some time doing mine yesterday not in your league tho...lol.
It will look even better in the sun today :)
Thats a bit of a sh*tter mate. Think you have a very strong case there indeed, if you have no luck with Renault, you can probably seek legal advise on how best to approach the situation, but thats only if things go proper pete tong and i'm sure it will all get sorted. Best of luck. :)
Problem solved guys! Thew! Mate of mine came to me rescue :)
It was the connection from the alternator to something just under the fuel rail guard (i have no idea what is it), whilst wiggling all the wires and checking all elecy connections, fiddled with this and the rev's instantly dropped...
Daz - No, just a normal outside clean, did chuck a bucket of water over it tho to rise it off! Could it be water ingress?? I can't see any signs of water inside the engine bay tho :S
Right, i left the batt disconnected for an hour and a half, being a little impatient i wanted to see if it sholved the problem. No.
This time only rev's up to 2000rpm as idol. But it sound like a bag of spanners. Can someone else suggest anything?
I'm really stuck and all out of ideas! :(
Cheers bmh.01, disconnected the batt, i'll get it a bit a see what happens, fingers crossed!
Hope it doesn't cause any other issues with the alarm etc??
