That tool is really easy to use, honestly. You can resize the original image, or simply resize as a copy. Try it. :)

Try downloading the Image resizer from the Microsoft Powertoys website. You can just 'right-click -resize image'. I find it usefull because I can do it to batches of photos rather than just doing one at a time...
