That's the bottom line, in a lot of cases. I had trouble holding on to a well driven 1.6 Fiesta.... he basically had bigger balls than I did... or so I thought until I pulled up along side it at a 'T' junction and...
One thing I will say is, ALL of the quick 172's run the Group N ECU/Rsport..... so don't write it off - It's an excellent vale for money mod.
You get a replacement ECU for around £250 - Which you could sell when you get rid of you car to recoup some money.
Hillpower sell them. I had one...
As you say, each to their own.... You get a hardon about how many teraflops your graphics card runs at - To me a computer is something for surfing the net and watching p**n. Not playing games with other nerds from around the world. ;)
And my phone has a 3.2 Megapixel camera. So there. :rasp...
Was about to say the same. Seems to be a trade off between durabilty and out and out shine. I find it more durable than P21S but desn't buff up to as good a shine.
Yup. I found mine sounds a bit rough for those last few hundred revs too. Would probably help a 1/4 mile time not having to change into 4th before the line too I would imagine.

And according to Cup owners with CC, 20 kg and a compressor running off the engine will make no difference. lol.
I'd take one (mk2) over any other Renaultsport Clio. Faster or not.
Always nice to have a poke at the V6 owners though. lol.
The Cup maybe almost as fast - But you could buy a cheap turbo something or other (like on of those awful Glanza things), get it chipped and it'll be faster than a...
I've beaten one in my 172 (just), and a standard (healthy) Williams will be about the same speed. So my money's on the Williams.
But I've also been spanked by a red top corsa with a few mods. Those engines appear to actually respond to light mods, whereas mine.. :(
