Another update.....crank shaft bearings are being replaced, and if rest of engine is fine later on, I will be asking for a new cam belt + aux belt, which they said would be done if oil got onto it.:D

I think he did it all himself, looks good mate!:D

Just thought, my belts were soaked in oil, does this mean a free cam belt is due as well?

Renault have told me that an overpressure in the oil pump caused it to blow out the fuel filter and some seals or something, basically dumping all of my oil while i was driving. I smelled alot of burning and there was smoke as i stopped, plus i heard faint sounds of grinding.:( Renault say it...

yeh, but that means having stuff lying around in the car. Currently i have sat nav / tv dvd player tv tuner and road angel all installed in the car, but if you looked inside you wouldnt know any where there. I was going to replace the dvd player and sat nav with a laptop hooked up to my tv...

something like that would be an easy solution via usb, but I would like to have the touch pad on the drivers arm rest. I want everything to look totally stealth and standard.

ebay is cheap for the rear ones on the sports, mainly because they do bugger all for our cars.

Is it easy to remove the touchpad from a laptop to relocate? Are they seperate units or attached to motherboard? In particular i am interested in the acer laptops. or can i get a small roller ball to fix into car somewhere?
