I had a guy ask me the other day why I had put a 2.0 16v badge on the side of mine because apparently you can't get a clio with that size engine
He then went on to ask where I had got the body kit from......
I changed mine for ease of routing the air feed as I found having two a pain. The noise is different from the PH1 airbox also. Its quiet and civilised at lows revs and sounds very nice when giving it some beans.
Henk from fastchip looked at my RStuner logs yesterday and commented that i must...
Probably another 35k!!! They arn't much thicker than that when new!! I changed my original rears at 76k and that was only because I had to swap the rear disks!!
Its not brilliant but compared to my PH1 106 without power steering the turning circle is ace!!
It did get me into trouble in a car park the other week though as I had to get a que of traffic to backup so i could get round a bend!
Compared to my GF's cooper s though its rubbish! How come...
Now I might not be right on this but I think the clue is in the name. I'm quite sure the heat sheild is there to sheild the underside of the car from the heat of the exhuast!! :) The handbrake cable does run under it which makes it a git to tighten the handbrake cable
Its going to be about the same no matter what tuning company you go to or if you use an RS Tuner. The RS Tuner will provide the same result for less money with the option of having a custom remap done for about another £50 when you get more engine mods for the car. i.e SS exhuast, sports cat or...
I should add that I measured the increases I got with the inbuilt performance analyser on back to back runs so it should be quite accurate but probably not exact.
I'm sure you could meet someone or even drive to there house and get them to do the ecu upgrade for you and go through it at the same time. Eevn with the cost of petrol it would still be a cheaper option than getting a group_n remap from a tuning company
EDIT:
You wont get much on the top...
I had slight grinding in 3rd after putting the wrong grade oil in my gearbox. But if its got the right oil and is fully topped up its probably the syncro as they always seem to go on 3rd first. Your looking a gearbox rebuild of fitting a reconditioned box.
On last MOT it says they are worn but as you and Rentech have said they hardly ever fail. The guys at Rentech seem to think its probably an MOT tester error. Where are they so I can take a look at them myself I'm just curious where they are?!
When I emailed fastchip henk said to try both the group_n and the ron98 and see what one you prefere. You can do performance runs with both maps also to see what one is better.
To me spending twice as much money on a group_n remap with a tuning company when you can do it yourself with a...
Group_N remaps are all very very similar. I dont use the group_N on mine I use the ron98 map which felt better on my car. Remember with RStuner you have the option to go back to the fatory map and also pay for a custom map if you get more mods in the future. Best mod I have done on my car by a...
Yes that is the correct section for files. What you will have to do is see what version of software your ecu is on 6400 or 7300. You can't do that without the RStuner. Then you will have to use the file designed for 6400 or 7300. Its really not that hard!!!
If you kinow its been changed of the coolant is still bright green then just top it up.
If the coolant has gone a redish colour and/or you want piece of mind its a 30 minute job to drain the system and refill it with new coolant. GSF do the proper Renualt coolant which is premixed.
Do some searches there are plenty of threads on it. But to summarise.
You put the RStuner prgram on a laptop and connect the Hardware part of your RStuner to your laptop and OBDII port under the ashtray.
You then get the correct map for your car off of the rstuner website and you can...
