Load the latest .rst file that has the same number at the begining of what you already have. The load whatever .cal file you want after this.
DO NOT load a 7xxx file onto a 6xxx ecu. READ the manual or you could do some serious damage to your car.
But that would be a risky feature as I doubt many people would have the technical know how to start messing with maps. I'm not saying you wouldn't but a large percentage of the end user (me included) would not have a clue where to begin and im sure those of us that have a tendancy to fiddle with...
Use the may2008 .cal its supposed to offer improvements over the feb2008.cal according to some other threads. I dont think there is a groupn remap for the 182.
Mine has just started in the warm weather. Cable is new. My creak s coming from the plastic pivot that the release fork moves on. I found the solution is to put some grease on the pivot.
As said money is best spent on brakes and suspension.
Only sort of worthwhile engine mods are to get an rstuner (do a search), matched inlets, panel filter, stainless exhaust and on a PH1 a decat/sports cat. Will give you quite a bit more mid range torque etc but in all honestly getting more...
^^ hence the thread as im not 100% sure. Car runs fine produces good power and is pretty economical, do you think anything needs doing about it or is it what fred said and a little too much information is a bad thing?!
Limiter is set too 7500rpm though im personally scared to take it that high. I saw around 20nm of torque gain in the mid rev range and 5bhp increase there also. No higher top end power but max torque was increased 12nm. best £135 ive spent car is so much smoother when cold and nicer to drive on...
Ive got an Iceberg PH1 and am quite a fan of keeping the sidestrips looking standard but I was thinking of spraying the side badges Iceberg silver as the chrome bit on them looks tatty.
Has anybody painted theres silver and if so have you got a picture so I can decide if I like the look or...
