Just after some opinions.
Bodywork that needs doing is;
Bad Girl Spoiler fitting
Rust around fitting point for rear wiper
Long scratch along the top of the o/s rear wing (where someone keyed it!:@)
Two patches on the bonnet where the laquer has flaked off and the paint has faded
Dent on edge...
Get the Konis, Theyre awesome.
Ive got adjustables on the back of the valver, and used to have them all round on my old AX GT which was slammed, and they made a real difference to the handling.
Ben,
It sounds as it is the sunroof frame if it only leaks when pissing it down. Just get some silicone and do it yourself. £3 and 10 minutes. Just make sure you do it when its nice and dry.
Hope this helps,
Tom
A local sunroof specalist.
I could have done it myself but didnt know what to do first time.
Water was leaking in from inbetween the sunroof frame and the roof. They just put some silicone inbetween to stop the water getting in.
Why? Is your leaking?
Get a valver, you know you want one.;)
Just make sure you check it out properly before you buy it and youll be alright.
Ive had my valver since september and spent almost 2.5K, but most of that is for the mods.
What Ive had to pay for for normal mantainence;
48K service - £181.23
Bent...
Are you absolutely sure the leaking sunroof is because of the seal in the sunroof frame. Could be the join between the frame and the roof, or a snapped aerial base.
They dont do bodywork, but I know they do something with arches, cos my brother had them do his AX GT arches before his 15"s went on. I dont know if it is actually arch rolling (not really sure what this method really is....) I think they just cut the arch where it was catching.
Do you know where its leaking from the sunroof.
Its must probably the frame lifting from the roof and letting water in. A bit of silicone will sort this.
If its the seal, you can clean it out and re-seal it, and see if it stops it. If not, your buggered really, cos itll need a new frame...
The gearstick moving when you either touch the accelerater or just lift off will be the dog bone mount. Mine does this but it doesnt knock. Sounds like an engine mount may have gone too.
The roof been shut for about 4months so it shouldnt be too stiff.
Just out of interest, do you know what size allen key it is, I would look myself but its in my grans garage staying dry at the moment.
